10. Kanu-Fun-Regatta in Greiz
Am Samstag, den 6. Juli 2019, fand zum wiederholten Mal die Greizer Kanu-Fun-Regatta auf der Weißen Elster zwischen der Hainbergbrücke und dem Elsteruferparkplatz statt.
In der Zeit von 10.00 bis 16.00 Uhr konnte jeder der mochte Greiz aus einer anderen Perspektive erleben. Auf der Weißen Elster war eine Strecke von ca. 700 m zwischen der Hainbergbrücke und dem Elsteruferparkplatz zurückzulegen, die man entweder so schnell wie möglich oder entspannt genießerisch absolvieren konnte. Das gute Wetter bescherte den Organisatoren eine rekordverdächtige Teilnehmerzahl: 97 Kanus mit insgesamt 253 Kanuten besetzt
schipperten die Weiße Elster hinunter, begleitet von einem begeisterten Publikum.
Im Anschluss an die Kanufahrten starteten zwei Fun-Flussmobile, schwimmende Objekte, die mit viel Liebe und Aufwand gestaltet, ebenfalls die 700-m-Strecke zu bewältigen hatten.

Sie ist die Kreisstadt des Landkreises Greiz und Mittelzentrum für den südlichen Teil des Landkreises. Die Stadt liegt im Tal der Weißen Elster im thüringischen Vogtland.
