Gravellona Lomellina è un comune lombardo della provincia di Pavia in Lombardia. Si trova nella Lomellina nordorientale, a pochi chilometri da Vigevano.
Circondato da risaie e cascine, Gravellona è un paese speciale, un vero e proprio ‘Paese d’Arte’, come ama definirsi. Agli inizi degli anni ’90, inizia una vera e propria decorazione del paese, una street art partecipativa, nuova e innovativa. Le Istituzioni decidono di trasformare Gravellona Lomellina in una mostra o meglio in un museo. Sì perché la sensazione è proprio questa, passeggiando per le strade sembra quasi di assistere ad un’esposizione a cielo aperto, con tanto di accompagnamento audio, disponibile sul cellulare.
Le cabine elettriche sono state trasformate in facce, con occhi e orecchie, e, sui muri delle case, sono stati riprodotti capolavori di grandi artisti.
Ogni anno, le prime settimane del mese di giugno, a partire dall’anno 1996, viene organizzata la “Festa dell’Arte”. La festa coinvolge tutto il paese, e per ogni edizione viene installata una differente opera artistica nel paese.
Dopo aver passeggiato per le vie del paese, è d’obbligo una tappa all’oasi naturalistica nel Parco dei Tre Laghi, uno dei più grandi parchi comunali del pavese. Ben 232.000 m² di spazio, incluso il lago della Volpera, il lago dei Pescatori e il lago delle Streghe, adibito a riserva naturale.
Gravellona Lomellina is a Lombard town in the province of Pavia in Lombardy. It is located in the north-eastern Lomellina, a few kilometers from Vigevano.
Surrounded by rice fields and farms, Gravellona is a special town, a real 'Country of Art', as it likes to define itself. At the beginning of the 90s, a real decoration of the town began, a participatory, new and innovative street art. The Institutions decide to transform Gravellona Lomellina into an exhibition or rather a museum. Yes, because this is the feeling, walking through the streets almost seems to witness an open-air exhibition, complete with audio accompaniment, available on mobile phones.

After walking through the streets of the town, a stop at the naturalistic oasis in the Parco dei Tre Laghi, one of the largest municipal parks in the Pavia area, is a must. 232,000 m² of space, including the Volpera lake, the Pescatori lake and the Streghe lake, used as a nature reserve.

L'autostrada A26 è un'autostrada italiana, che da Voltri, delegazione a ovest di Genova, in Liguria, scorre verso nord, giungendo a Gravellona Toce, in Piemonte. È gestita da Autostrade per l'Italia; viene chiamata Autostrada dei trafori in quanto, oltre ad avere un elevato numero di trafori lungo il tracciato, mette in comunicazione il porto di Genova e il resto d'Italia con i vari trafori di valico alpini tra cui: il traforo del Frejus (tramite l'A21 e l'A32), i trafori del Monte Bianco e il del Gran San Bernardo (entrambi tramite la diramazione A26/A4) e il Sempione (proseguendo sulla SS 33 dalla fine dell'autostrada).
I lavori di costruzione dell'autostrada iniziarono nel 1971 per il tronco da Genova Pra' ad Alessandria,[4] e il 28 marzo 1973 per il tronco da Alessandria a Stroppiana compresa la diramazione da Stroppiana a Santhià.
Il 23 ottobre 1976 venne aperto al traffico il primo tratto dell'autostrada, da Ovada a Predosa (15 km) e il raccordo da Predosa all'autostrada Milano-Serravalle. L'11 agosto dell'anno successivo vi si aggiunsero le tratte da Genova Voltri a Ovada e da Predosa ad Alessandria.
Nel 1978 vennero aperte le tratte da Alessandria a Casale nord (22 giugno) e da Casale nord a Stroppiana con il raccordo da Stroppiana a Santhià (27 luglio).
Le tratte seguenti vennero aperte nelle seguenti date:
- il tratto Stroppiana-Romagnano il 14 dicembre 1987;
- il tratto Romagnano-Arona il 20 dicembre 1988;
- il tratto Gravellona Toce-SS 33 il 15 dicembre 1994;
- il tratto Arona-Gravellona Toce il 14 luglio 1995.
L'apertura della prima tratta ha garantito a Genova una connessione comoda e veloce con la zona dell'Ovadese e dell'Alessandrino, fino ad allora connesse alla città tramite l'allora strada statale 456 del Turchino, dal percorso particolarmente tortuoso, e ha creato un percorso alternativo e migliore tra Milano e il Ponente ligure rispetto all'A7.
Il percorso si snoda partendo dalla delegazione di Pra', all'estremo ovest del comune di Genova, inerpicandosi in appena 10 km da meno di 70 m di altitudine dell'inizio dell'autostrada fino agli oltre 420 m s.l.m. della galleria del Turchino, in località Fado Alto, dove supera lo spartiacque dell'Appennino Ligure. Lungo questo tratto entrambe le carreggiate sono sospese su grandi viadotti e sono presenti numerose gallerie e per superare il forte dislivello in pochi km è stato necessario creare un'ansa lunga 4 km per ridurre la pendenza, altrimenti proibitiva per i TIR che dal porto di Genova devono viaggiare in direzione nord.
Oltrepassato il Turchino serve i comuni della valle Stura con lo svincolo di Masone e con pendenze minori di quelle del versante ligure scende verso la pianura padana.
Entrando in Piemonte, oltrepassa quindi l'abitato di Ovada, attraversa l'intersezione con la bretella di Novi Ligure che la unisce alla Autostrada A7, si congiunge alla Autostrada A21 nei pressi di Alessandria. In questo primo tratto da Genova-Voltri fino ad Alessandria, oltre all'innesto con la Diramazione A26/A7 (tra i caselli di Ovada/Belforte e Alessandria Sud) e il tratto di 14 km tra Masone e il termine dell'autostrada, dove è assente la corsia d'emergenza, la A26 possiede tre corsie per senso di marcia più emergenza, e dunque costituisce la più grossa arteria di comunicazione tra Pianura Padana e la costa ligure, nonché di tutta la Liguria. Il tracciato del tratto appenninico è fluido e con curve abbastanza larghe, da garantire un limite di velocità generalmente non inferiore a 100 km/h.

Hello everyone, welcome to a new travel VLOG. We are in Northern Italy, in Stresa by the Lago Maggiore.
This vlogs shows our day trip to Orta san Giulio, Orta lake. We read about this lake and village then heard a lot about it while in Stresa. Therefore, last Friday we decided to spend most of the day there. We were not disappointed. The lake and the village are really beautiful. The village is full of nice cafés where we enjoyed delicious food and wines. ENJOY !
Lake Orta (Italian: Lago d’Orta) is a lake in northern Italy, west of Lake Maggiore.
It has been so named since the 16th century, but was previously called Lago di San Giulio, after Saint Julius (4th century), the patron saint of the region. Its southern end is about 35 kilometers (22 miles) by rail to the northwest of the city of Novara (located on the main Turin-Milan line), while its northern end is about 6 kilometers (4 miles) by rail south of the Gravellona-Toce railway station, itself located halfway between Ornavasso and Omegna.
Its scenery is characteristically Italian, while San Giulio island has some picturesque buildings, and takes its name from the local saint, who lived in the 4th century.
Located around the lake are Orta San Giulio, built on a peninsula projecting from the east shore of the lake, Omegna at its northern extremity, Pettenasco to the east, and Pella to the west.
It is supposed that the lake is the remnant of a much larger sheet of water by which originally the waters of the Toce flowed south towards Novara. As the glaciers retreated the waters flowing from them diminished, and were gradually diverted into Lake Maggiore.

The inaugural European Rowing Championships were held on Lake Orta in 1893.[1]
Frequent ferry service connects towns and villages around the lake.
Cesara is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) northeast of Turin and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) southwest of Verbania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 617 and an area of 11.3 square kilometres (4.4 sq mi).[3]
The municipality of Cesara contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Colma, Grassona, and Egro.
Cesara borders the following municipalities: Arola, Civiasco, Madonna del Sasso, Nonio, Pella, Varallo Sesia.
