A visit To Granger Lake And Wilson H Fox Campground
On the very last weekend of Oct 2021 we loaded up the Thor Magnitude and headed out for three days of RV camping. The first campsite for the weekend was a way-point stop at Granger Lake and Wilson H Fox campground.
Located on the south shore of Granger Lake Wilson H Fox is a U.S Army Corps Of Engineers campground that features a fishing dock, two boat ramps and a wonderful beach.
My campsite at Wilson H Fox was a real treat! Located at the end of the row there were no neighbors. I also had a sort of lake access campsite if I had been willing to scramble down a very steep dirt bank (I Was Not! Willing).
I was only there for one night but truly enjoyed my stay at Wilson H Fox. Come along with me as I explore this great COE campground, Wilson H Fox.

This student-run restaurant is there to equip future hospitality professionals with the skills and experience to change the industry and lift service levels
The setting is arguably one of the best in Cape Town!
Is the food / service sub-standard? Not at all! The menu is top-notch, You will also find the menu very affordable, sorry, actually cheap. The students are all there because they want to be in the industry and love what they do (More than what you can say for some restaurants with weekend-waiters )

London and specifically Notting Hill is literally brunch central. There are so many brunch options it is unreal. You will be spoilt for choice. Think boujee, minimalistic, tight, intimate, queues and instagramable dishes.
Tab x Tab are relatively new players in the game, but have taken the scene by storm. Many rate it as their favourite brunch spot in the area even the whole of London! It is that good and has impressed visitors that much! So, what are they known for, what did we try and would we recommend it?
The menu is fairly straight forward with a limited number of dishes on there (8 dishes on a one page menu!). That’s usually a sign of quality food i.e. whatever they do, they do exceptionally well. They’ve got the brunch classics like avocado on toast, scrambled eggs, eggs Benedict, pancakes and French toast. They’ve also got a chicken Katsu sando, which is halal. As well as the food, they’re also known for their high quality speciality coffee. So, be sure to try out a drink if you’re a coffee lover.
Our number 1 recommendation would be the Berry French Toast. So, the Berry French Toast is a uniquely shaped French toast. It is a thin rectangular Brioche toast served alongside fresh strawberries and vanilla chantilly cream. I am pretty sure when we went (a couple of weeks ago) it was £9, but I see on the website it states £9.50, so maybe the price has gone up since then? Anyway, let’s talk about the taste. DELICIOUS. It tasted as good as it looks. The texture of the toast had a nice balance of moistness and crunch and then coupled of the strawberry and cream, it was incredible. This has to be one of the best French toasts I’ve had in London. My only complaint here is that I wanted more! The thin slice was devoured in seconds (literally); it’s worth two or three bites, which if you think about it, makes the price look a bit dear (especially if you see how much you get with Eggbreak’s famous French toast). Nonetheless, I have zero complaints about the taste. I’d happily go again, get that again and recommend others to do so too!

When you think of boujee brunch food and restaurants, you think Australian. Pretty instagramable dishes, lively yet easy going decor, and almost a sunny feel to the whole atmosphere. And thankfully for Londoners, the city is full of such brunch spots. I mean if you love brunch, I don’t know if there is a better city in the world for you than London. Granger & Co is probably the OG Australian brunch spot. I don’t know which was the first Australian brunch place in London, but I do know that these guys have been around for a while.
Despite their vast menu and the array of options to choose from, without a doubt their star dish is the famous Ricotta Hotcakes with honeycomb butter and banana. It is available on both their breakfast and lunch menus. And despite its hefty price tag (£16), I was pleasantly pleased with it and part of me has been craving it ever since. But surely in this current climate, nothing can justify spending that much on pancakes? Well, clearly people are happy to do so as the restaurant was packed with a half an hour queue outside. People were literally almost sitting on top of each other! When getting in and out of our seats, other people had to get up to let us in/out. Yes, it was that busy and tight (much like London brunch places).

From the wide variety of choices in Notting Hill, there is one standout spot that is regarded as one of the best brunch spots in the area and maybe even London. And it has held that title amongst foodies for many many years. And that place is none other than Eggbreak. A brunch place that has brought eggs to the forefront and isn’t shy about it neither. As their tagline suggests: eggs all day every day any way. There are a number of similar mindset places around the city now, but arguably these guys are the pioneers.

Taylor Park On Granger Lake FPV Scooter Tour | A Hidden RV Camping Gem
On our Sept 2017 RV trip we spent three wonderful nights camping at Taylor Park on Granger Lake. Located about 30 miles east of Georgetown Texas and just 10 min north of Taylor Texas, Taylor Park is truly a hidden gem.
Located on the banks of Granger Lake there are plenty of opportunities for fishing, camping and hiking while camping at Taylor Park on Granger Lake. In this video I take a ride on my high speed mobility scooter around Taylor Park on Granger Lake.

Taylor Campground, on the banks of Granger Lake, is an excellent lakeside destination for families of all ages. The park pleases nature lovers with its hiking trail and water skiers with its easily accessible boat dock. Anglers flock to Granger Lake because it is one of the top five crappie and white bass fishing destinations in central Texas.
Natural Features: Taylor Park is located in the gently rolling hills of the Texas Blackland Prairie, 40 miles from Austin TX. Granger Lake was formed by a dam built in 1980 for flood control. The lake is fed by the San Gabriel River and Willis Creek.
Recreation: Boating, hiking, hunting and wildlife viewing are all reasons visitors camp at Taylor. Hikers can enjoy the Comanche Bluff Trail, which loops around the campground and carries on in both directions along the southern side of the lake. Facilities: The campground has 48 sites, each with water and electric hookups. Showers and flush toilets provide a comfortable camping experience and a playground and boat dock in the park, make entertaining easy.
Granger Lake is a small lake located about 10 miles northeast of Taylor, Texas, and about 35 miles east of Austin. It is surrounded by relatively flat Texas black land which is primarily used for agriculture. Granger Lake is in a rural setting, well off the beaten path from the more heavily utilized lakes nearer to Austin.
The lake is in an area prone to high winds. These winds can turn the water turbid and keep it that way for a few days following the storm. The lake is located at river mile 31.9 on the San Gabriel and is downstream from Georgetown Lake.
