Yeah, a streetlite in Redhill. What a surprise.
Short ride on Metrobus 6101, route 430 + noisy ride
Every bus tracker I checked said 6558 was on the 430/435, however it would be impossible to put one of those buses on that route. Nevertheless, I went out to see what was really on it. I still got something special with 6101 (LK13 AEJ), the Wright Streetlite Max DF demonstrator with the poppy livery. Here is a very short ride from Redhill Bus Station to Wiggie Lane, on Tuesday 20th December 2022.
The last time I ever saw the Tilgate Meerkats bus... 23/07/2022
Metrobus Omnicity 6553 (YN55 PWK) was painted into a special livery advertising Tilgate Nature Centre, with Meerkats on the side. Prior to being withdrawn in August, here it is at Gatwick departing on route 3, taken on the 23rd July 2022. This was the last time I ever saw it, and what a send off! The camera shots and angles just fit absolutely perfectly.
