Welcome to the City of Armadale, where there is an abundance of shopping choices, beautiful parks and the gorgeous hills all within 30 minutes of the Perth CBD. Armadale’s restaurants, wineries and natural attractions help to make the City a haven for residents and visitors alike. It is a rapidly growing community of about 75,000 people with an estimated 10 new residents moving into the area each day.
Collie - Western Australia
Most of Perth's on grid power has been generated by the Muja power plant that is located near Collie. The area around Collie is W.A.'s most important coal production area. Unlike other coal towns overseas, Collie is most attractive. The surrounding area includes Wellington Dam and the Collie River winds it's way west towards Australind. Muja is the Aboriginal name for the Cabbage or Christmas Tree (Nuytsia floribunda.)

Filmed at Forrestfield and Gosnells during its first tourist run after restoration by Ian Willis, heading from Perth to Collie in 1992.
The loco was originally built by Robert Stephenson and Hawthorns in the United Kingdom in 1955.
Currently privately owned and preserved by Ian Willis and located at the town of Pemberton in Western Australia.
PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA - LAKE CAVE
Lake Cave is a one of the most beautiful limestone caves in Western Australia. Inside the cave a tranquil lake reflects delicate formations that will take your breath away. Lake Cave is the most 'actively dripping' cave. A spectacular suspended table, a crystal decoration weighing several tonnes that hangs from the ceiling, almost touching the waters of the lake. The cave is one of the deepest on the ridge, with entry access through a spectacular doline - a large hole in the earth's surface. There are approx. 300 steps down into it and the same back up but it is worth the effort. Once you start walking down, you will come across centuries old Karri trees, some over 20 stories tall. The limestone cliffs are equally stunning- huge weathered stalactites covered with spider webs giving the sense of ancient times.
