Akbarpur junction Railway Station :-
Akbarpur Junction railway station is a junction station between Lucknow, Ayodhya Cantt and Varanasi. It serves Akbarpur city. Railway stations near Akbarpur are Shahganj Junction (SHG), Jaunpur Junction (JNU), Goshainganj (GGJ), Malipur (MLPR) and Bilwai (BWI). This station is under Redevelopment. Station consist of double line electrified track.
Akbarpur junction to Goshaiganj railway station doubling and electrification completed on 25 july 2022.

अयोध्या। जिले से रीडगंज चौराहे से बसखारी तक के लिए प्रस्तावित अयोध्या-बसखारी राजमार्ग अब 84 किमी. का होगा। पिछले दिनों शासन से मिली स्वीकृति के आधार लोकनिर्माण विभाग की ओर से तैयारी शुरू हो गई है।
विभाग के मुताबिक इस मार्ग पर मया बाजार व गोसाईगंज में दो नए बाईपास बनाए जाने हैं। इसमें मया बाजार का बाईपास तीन किमी. लंबा होगा जबकि गोसाईगंज बाजार का प्रस्तावित बाईपास 5.50 किमी. लंबा होगा।
इससे पूरे मार्ग की कुल लंबाई 84 किमी. हो जाएगी। मार्ग की कुल लागत 765 करोड़ रुपये निर्धारित की गई है। अयोध्या के रीडगंज चौराहे से बसखारी राजमार्ग तीन वर्षों से स्वीकृत है। मौजूदा समय में निर्माण की प्रक्रिया शुरू हो गई है।
पूर्व योजना के अनुसार अयोध्या से बसखारी मार्ग की कुल लंबाई 81 किमी. व इसकी लागत 526 करोड़ रुपये निर्धारित थी। अभी हाल ही में शासन से दो नए बाईपास की स्वीकृति के साथ डीपीआर को भी रिवाइज किया है।
इसमें पहला बाईपास मया बाजार के बाहर से बनना है। इसमें सड़क को बरईपार के समीप के शारदा सहायक नहर से होते हुए ले जाकर समंथा पर निकाला जाएगा। इसकी लंबाई तीन किमी. होगी। इस बाईपास को बनने में 38 करोड़ रुपये का खर्च आएगा।
इसके साथ ही दूसरा बाईपास गोसाईगंज के पास से पकरैला राम महर के पेट्रोल पंप के पास से होता हुआ घाट के पास से जाकर गद्दोपुर पर निकलेगा। इस मार्ग को बनाने में 69 करोड़ रुपये की अनुमानित लागत आएगी।
