A magical afternoon wander in Goch, Germany.
I wasn´t expecting to see this, when I went for a walk through Goch, a town we know existed in 1259. It´s right on the border to Holland. The artist, Vincent van Goch, probably had relatives form this town. There are so many more beautiful historical buildings in Goch, but I only had time to film these. I´ll just have to come back. The people were so very friendly here, and I´ve only scratched the surface of what´s to be discovered in Goch.
My meditative videos show a calming and artistic view of the places I visit and the quiet, peaceful wanders I take through them. Medieval villages, picturesque cottages, beautiful cities. Relax and escape with me from the busy bustling world to my dreamy and serene slow living way of seeing my surroundings. Experience the magic of peering into the past and being in a fairytale, just for a little while.

Kleve, North Rhine-Westphalia, ???????? Germany, Tour 2023
#kleve is a town in the Lower Rhine region of northwestern Germany near the Dutch border and the River Rhine. From the 11th century onwards, Cleves was capital of a county and later a duchy. Today, Cleves is the capital of the district of Cleves in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The name Kleff probably derives from Middle Dutch clef, clif 'cliff, bluff', referring to the promontory on which the Schwanenburg castle was constructed. Since the city's coat of arms displays three clover leaves (German Klee, Low German Kliev), the city's name is sometimes linked by folk etymology to the clover, but the corresponding Dutch word is klaver.
Kleve was spelled with a C throughout its history until spelling reforms introduced in the 1930s required that the name be spelled with a K. In 2008, the CDU announced its intention to return the name to its original spelling.

Today, I´m searching for the legends of Föhr…
We´ll have coffee and cake in Germany´s prettiest village….
And then we´ll see sights you maybe never imagined you´d see in Germany…
a beautiful windmill,
the ancient site of a place most sacred,
and I´ll tell you the tale of the Knight Klaus Lembeck.
And then we´ll drive right to end of the island, where the North Sea kisses the shores. And when she ebbs, if you are brave enough and you know these parts well enough, you can walk across the mud flats to the neighbouring island of Amrum.
All of this, on just one island….

#xanten is a town in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the district of #wesel
Xanten is known for the Archaeological Park, one of the largest archaeological open air museums in the world, built at the site of the Roman settlements Colonia Ulpia Traiana. Other attractions include the medieval town centre with Xanten Cathedral, many museums and large man-made lakes for various watersport activities. Xanten is visited by approximately one million tourists a year.
The Archäologischer Park Xanten is built on the site of the Roman town, and it is one of the most frequently visited parks in Germany. In 2012, the Archaeological Park was expanded to nearly the whole area of the Roman colonia after Bundesstraße 57 was moved away from the area.
Historical buildings in the town centre have been restored. At the Xantener Südsee and Xantener Nordsee, two lakes connected by a channel close to the localities Wardt and Vynen, the Freizeitzentrum Xanten (Xanten Leisure Center) was established in 1982. Today, it is a popular destination for sailors.

Weeze, North Rhine-Westphalia, ???????? Germany, Tour 2022
#weeze is a municipality in the Lower Rhine (Niederrhein) region, in the northwestern part of North Rhine-Westphalia in the district of #kleve in the region of Düsseldorf.
The municipality consists of the town of Weeze and the village of Wemb and has approximately 10,500 inhabitants. Not to be confused with Weeze (the person) from Forest Glade, Windsor. It is situated in the district of Kleve, embedded in the northwestern part of the Lower Rhine Region, and lies between Goch to the north and Kevelaer to the south. The Netherlands lie directly to the west.
The Municipality offers a wide range of outdoor activities. An almost 210 km (130 mi) network of bridle, cycling and rambling paths, partially along the Niers River, as well as recreational activities such as angling, canoeing and kart racing round off an abundance of leisure activities in and around the Municipality.
The Herrensitz-Route, a border-crossing cycling route, guides cyclists to these and many other highlights and attractions of the region, such as Kleve, home of Anne of Cleves; Kevelaer, famous for its pilgrimages, Moyland Castle between Kalkar and Bedburg-Hau, or Gennep in the Netherlands where the Meuse and Niers rivers converge. The Weeze animal park with its educational trail and children's zoo is a special attraction for families. The park is located on the edge of the town next to the ruins of Hertefeld Castle.

#goch is a town in the district of #kleve in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is situated close to the border with the Siebengewald in Netherlands, approx. 12 km (7 mi) south of Kleve, and 27 km (17 mi) southeast of Nijmegen.
Goch is at least 750 years old: the earliest mention of Goch is in a document dated 1259. It was a part of the Duchy of Cleves. During World War II, the city was completely destroyed by Allied bombers during Operation Veritable.

Hola amigos, summer in Germany brings so many activities is just hard one to choose from.
This time i visited another flight Club , located in the town of Goch ,close to the Dutch border as they had an open day with some activities and of course the 15 minutes flight over the surrounding areas, i thing i was not going to miss.
Once again i got lucky with the weather as it was a sunny afternoon.
Sorry once again for the hairs in front of the lens ,part of my noise cancelling mic device.

The flight was a bit bumpy but a lot of fun.
Shot on SONY FDR AX53 using a polizer filter. I am still testing this camera before those trip reports come again.
