SYDNEY TRAVEL TIPS: 13 Things to Know Before You Go

Everything YOU need to know before you go to Sydney Australia. Located on Australia’s southeastern coast, Sydney is Australia's largest and oldest city with a population of 5.2M Sydneysiders. Sydney is considered one of the most diverse cities in the world, with more than 40% of the population originally hailing from outside Australia. While originally Sydney started life as a British prison colony, it’s now most well known for it’s amazing harbor, magnificent beaches, delicious cuisine, all wrapped up in a modern city with classic British roots, that remains distinctly Australian. All these things combined make Sydney one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.

Beware of THIS in New Zealand!

Did you expect this in New Zealand? When you come to New Zealand, you'll be shocked to see gangs. Gangs in New Zealand are so unafraid of the Police that they ride obnoxiously loud motorcycles so you can hear them a mile away.

They even wear a uniform which includes a gang patch, so you know which gang they're from.

This is how open and obvious organised crime is in New Zealand. And for visitors like my wife, it's shocking.

If you stay away from them, they won't bug ya. But the reality is gangs are known for the drug trade, murder, theft, violence against women, and the list goes on.

There are numerous gangs in New Zealand, of varying criminality, organisation and ethnicity, including outlaw motorcycle gangs, street gangs and ethnically based gangs. A chapter of the Hells Angels motorcycle club was formed in Auckland in 1961, the first Hells Angels chapter outside the US.

Soon after, the Mongrel Mob formed in Hastings and Wellington, developing into a predominantly Māori and Pacific Islander gang and having the largest membership in the country.

Through the 1960s and 1970s, other outlaw motorcycle clubs and ethnically based gangs formed, including another predominantly Māori gang, Black Power (not related to the African-American movement), which grew to rival the Mongrel Mob. from Wikipedia.

Campbelltown Sydney Australia Winter 2022 Walking Tour

Macarthur railway station is located on the Main South line, serving the Sydney suburb of Campbelltown. It is served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South and NSW TrainLink Southern Highlands Line services. It is the southern extremity of the electrified Sydney Trains network.

Macarthur Square is a large indoor/outdoor shopping centre located in the south western Sydney suburb of Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia. The shopping centre was opened by the Lend Lease Corporation and GPT Group on 10 September 1979. The shopping centre is situated adjacent to Macarthur Railway Station, where trains terminate on the Airport & South Line.

An $160 million expansion in 2005, which expanded the centre's floor area from 29,000 to 90,000 m2 (310,000 to 970,000 sq ft), saw Macarthur Square become one of the largest shopping complexes in Sydney. A further development in 2017 increased the retail floor area to 107,000 m2 (1,150,000 sq ft).

Major retailers of Macarthur Square include David Jones, Big W, Target, Coles, Rebel, Lincraft, H&M, Aldi, Woolworths, Dan Murphy's, JB Hi-Fi, Cotton On, Kingpin Bowling and Event Cinemas. The centre also features an outdoor entertainment and restaurant precinct known as Kellicar Lane. This area opened during the expansion in November 2005. Above Kellicar Lane is a food court that has large glass windows that look over Kellicar Lane, Campbelltown and the surrounding countryside.

Campbelltown is a town located on the outskirts of the metropolitan area of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is located in Greater Western Sydney 53 kilometers (33 mi) south-west of the Sydney central business district by road. Campbelltown is the administrative seat of the local government area of the City of Campbelltown. It is also acknowledged on the register of the Geographical Names Board of New South Wales as one of only four cities within the Sydney metropolitan area.

Campbelltown gets its name from Elizabeth Campbell, the wife of former Governor of New South Wales Lachlan Macquarie. Originally called Campbell-Town, the name was later simplified to the current Campbelltown.

Campbelltown Mall is anchored by five major retailers including Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Kmart and Target, as well as an additional 98 specialty stores.

Campbelltown railway station is located on the Main South line, serving the Sydney suburb of Campbelltown. It is served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South line services and NSW TrainLink services to Moss Vale, Goulburn, Canberra, Griffith and Melbourne.

Central Coast By Drone - Wyong NSW

Wyong is a suburb on the beautiful Central Coast NSW. This video is just a snapshot of the amazing area.

Wyong is an indigenous word meaning either “edible yam” or “place of running water”. The first European settler to settle in the area was William Cape, bringing cattle and sheep to the district on a 1000 acre land grant in 1825. Have a closer look at Jilliby, Dooralong and Yarramalong and you can easily see the quiet country farming life that he would have experienced almost 200 years ago.

If you haven’t noticed, the suburb of Wyong has completely upped its game over the past few years, becoming quite the hub of activity with Bars, Restaurants, Cafes, and Entertainment. Its location, tucked between the beautiful Watagan Mountains and Yarramalong Valley to the west and the unspoiled Tuggerah Lake to the East is easy to access and great to explore. Located a 1hr 30min drive north from Sydney and 1hr 10min drive south from Newcastle. You can also catch a train direct from Sydney to Wyong Station, with the journey taking around 1hr 45min.
