Nabi Samuel Park is a fascinating combination of antiquities, agricultural terraced landscapes, mountain spring, and orchards. At the heart of the site is a large building from the Crusader period, containing the tomb of the prophet Samuel

The Judaean Mountains, or Judaean Hills or the Hebron Mountains, is a mountain range in Palestine and Israel where Jerusalem, Hebron, and several other biblical cities are located. The mountains reach a height of 1,026 meters (3,366 ft). The Judean Mountains can be separated to a number of sub-regions, including the Mount Hebron ridge, the Jerusalem ridge, and the Judean slopes.

The Judaean Mountains formed the heartland of the Kingdom of Judah (930-586 BCE), where the earliest Jewish settlements emerged, and from which Jews are generally descended.

Nabi Samuel Park extends along the slopes of Mt Samuel [Har Shmu’el]. Mt Samuel is a horst (a block raised above its surroundings), rising to a height of 855 m above sea level. To the east, the range is bounded by the Soreq Stream, and its tributaries to the north and south of the mountains accentuate its height.

Mt Samuel commands the road from Giv’at Ze’ev to Jerusalem (Road 436). This road follows the route of the ancient road from Bet Horon to Jerusalem.
Terraces still remain on the slopes of the hill, evidence of the traditional mountain agriculture that was common here in the past. Among the agricultural crops are orchards, including strawberry, fig, almond and olive trees, some still remaining to this day. Planted cypresses and pines also grow in the area. On the walls of the cave in which the Hannah Spring rises, maidenhair fern (Adiantum capillus-veneris) grows.

On the surrounding hillsides, scrub covers the abandoned terraces. The most noticeable plant among the scrub is prickly burnet (Sarcopoterium spinosum).
Mammals are sometimes seen within the national park, wandering around the Judean Hills, among them the mountain gazelle (Gazella gazella), the striped hyena (Hyaena hyaena), and the red fox (Vulpes vulpes).

What is the Story with Those Wacky Sun-Dials at Historic Synagogue in Petach Tikva? Israel Tour

In today's relaxing Israel walking tour we will walk along Chovavi Tzion street in Petach Tikva and visit historic sites including the historic synagogue built in the late 19th century by Jewish settlers who came out of the Ottoman Walls of the Old City of Jerusalem to fulfill their dream of establishing Jewish farming settlements in the Land of Israel. We will also visit the founders square and learn about the people who made this happen.

Petah Tikva also known as Mother of the Moshavot, is a city in the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area about ten and a half kilometers east of Tel Aviv. It was founded in 1878, mainly by Jews who came from Jerusalem to establish a farming community or a Moshava.
Petah Tikva takes its name (meaning Door of Hope) from the biblical allusion in Hosea 2:15: ... and make the valley of Achor a door of hope.

In today’s walking tour in Petach Tikva we will follow a trail of a suggested historical tour that I found on an old map published by Israel’s Society for the Protection of Nature. It includes 16 historical sites in the center of the city of Petach Tikva. The path is accessible for people with wheelchairs.

We will start off on Rothschild street and look for the Edmond Binjamin De Rothschild Square which is near the Petach Tikva Shuk Open Market.

We will also pass by Herzl and Jabotinsky streetsname for two important thinkers and leaders of the Zionist moverment.

At the square in honor of the founders of the town or the city of Petach Tikva Yehoshua Stamper and others we will read historical signs and learn about the history of the Moshava Petach Tikva and we will also visit the Great synagogue name for James Yaakov Rothschild, father of the Baron Edmond Meir De Rothschild who funded its building in the end of the 19th century.

About David Ha’ivri: I am a Jewish man who loves the land and people of Israel. For over 15 years I led strategic and geopolitical VIP tours in the Shomron for influencers from around the world and from all types of backgrounds, religions and political schools of thought. At some point it dawned on me that my passion is tourism, the land of Israel and sharing its amazing history and beauty with my friends. To turn that passion into a profession I enrolled in the Yad Yitzchak Ben Tzvi Tour Guide school and have become a licensed Israel Tour Guide. The rest is history in the making. So join me on my journey to try to figure out why this very special land has been and still is so important for so many people throughout the ages.

I also provide consultancy for people who would like to build relationships between Israel and movers and shakers around the world for the common benefit of our peoples and shared values.

My favorite singers are Cat Stevens, Harry Chapin, Leonard Cohen, Meir Ariel and Kaveret, but not in any particular order. Ask me about the stories of Pogie, doctor's orders for monthly visits to the terminal, the baffled king composing Hallelujah and peace train.

Givat Zeev (near Ramat) Stunning Jerusalem Penthouse- View of Samuel Navi

Since the buzz about Ramat Givat Zeev began many Anglo's have been taking a deeper look into other areas of Givat Zeev which are seemingly much better investments. Givat Zeev is a ready to move in community with Mikvah's, Shul's, and shopping centers. It is literally minutes from Jerusalem by car and is closer to Jerusalem than the new American Neighborhood being built known as Ramat Givat Zeev (which won't be ready for 4 years).

There is an American Rav leading an Ashkenaz Kehila in my community. His name is Rabbi Yitzchok Schwartz and he was one of Rabbi Chaim Pinchas Sheinberg ZTZL's favorite students. There are Sefardic kehilas in the area as well.Apartments here are being sold for cheaper than Ramat Givat Zeev and are available immediately.

For example, a stunning 2400 square ft. 6 BR penthouse duplex with 5 Bathrooms and huge balconies (with a view of kever Shmuel Ha' Navi) goes for about $500k. It is one of the nicest apartments you will ever see in the Jerusalem area and that is a guarantee. For more information about the apartments in this area or general information I can be reached at 516-554-8771 or 054-426-6569.

This is the first video of the penthouse duplexes for sale in Givat Zeev. These stunning 2 floor duplexes have heated floors and breath taking views of the Samuel Ha'Navi. They have 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. 4 showers and 2 baths. Givat Zeev has everything from 3 Bedroom apartments that start at $300k to enormous private homes for $1 million as many are used to in the Five Towns. Call 516-554-8771 for more information.

ISRAEL Beer Yaakov 2020 4k

Good afternoon everyone. Today you will see one of the renewed cities of Israel. Beer Yaakov. And now some information from Wikipedia. Beer Ya'akov was founded in 1907 on 2,000 dunams of land purchased by a company headed by Meir Dizengoff from a Lutheran German colony a year earlier. It was divided into two sectors: one for immigrants from Russia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Argentina and Iran, and the other for Mountain Jews from Dagestan. It was named after Yaakov Yitzhaki, a rabbi and pioneer of the Mountain Jews community. [3] Yitzhaki led the pioneers of the Mountain Jews who settled here.

In 1909, 25 families lived in Beer Yaakov, and tensions arose between Ashkenazi and Dagestan families. [4] In 1910 the first elementary school was opened. According to a census carried out in 1922 by the British authorities under a mandate, Beer Ya'akov had 131 inhabitants [5], which, according to the 1931 census, increased to 265 inhabitants in 58 houses. [6] By 1947, its population was 400. [7] It was granted local council status in 1949.

Beer Yaakov 1941 1: 20,000

Beer Ya'akov 1945 1: 250,000
During the 1948 Arab-Israeli War and until Israel's capture of Ramla in July 1948, Beer Ya'akov was at the forefront. The population was evacuated at the time and a new settlement, Beershalom, was founded nearby by members of Kibbutz Buchenwald, the first pioneer training group formed in Germany after World War II. [8] [9]

In 2017, a construction plan was approved on the territory liberated from the Tzrifin military bases, which are being transferred to the Negev. The plan calls for 100,000 residents of Beer Ya'akov.
