Avignon, France Walking tour [4K].

Avignon, France Walking tour 4K. October 11, 2022.
Avignon is one of the most beautiful cities in Provence, the main city of the Vaucluse department with a beautiful old town and an arched bridge over the river, the symbol of the city. The history of the city changed when the popes moved here. What remains from that era is the grandiose Palais des Papes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of France's most popular attractions. The city is located on the left bank of the Rhone River. It is also home to one of the largest international annual theater festivals.

Joan of Arc ROUEN City Walking Tour 2021 -???????? Normandy France • Real Time Virtual Ambience in 4K ASMR

Rouen is the capital city of the Normandy region in northern France. This is one of the few cities that still has some of the traditional buildings of the region. The city was also bombarded and attacked during WW2 but by the Americans and this is visible in the holes in the Judicial palace of Rouen. The city is also known for Jean D'arc because that's where she was burned as a witch. We start at the point where Joan of Arc was executed near the food market and take a relaxed walk around the city crossing the grande horloge in the city center. At the end, you get to see the Cathedral of Rouen. #Rouen #4k #walkingtour

???????? ???? [8K] - Unbelievable footage of the Château de Grouchy - Osny, Val d'Oise, France

The Château de Grouchy is a castle located in Osny, in the Val-d'Oise department, thirty kilometers northwest of Paris.

The castle owes its name to the last private owner, the Marquis Jean de Grouchy, great-grandson of the Marshal of the Empire, Emmanuel de Grouchy. Listed as a Site in 1945, then in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments in 1990, the castle, in its current state, dates from the end of the 18th century. Commissioned by Count Charles de Lameth, in the neoclassical style, it is the work of architect Jacques-Pierre Gisors.

The Château de Grouchy is gradually being restored with the financial participation of numerous patrons and public partners. It becomes the seat of the municipal administrative services (1989), but also a cultural center which regularly hosts concerts, conferences, exhibitions and a permanent gallery.

Some outbuildings have been rehabilitated in order to highlight the existing heritage:
➣ former stables have housed the Departmental Museum of Firefighters since 1999,
➣ since 2003, the graineterie has housed the Municipal School of Music and,
➣ since 2006, offices have been installed in the orangery.

The users of the town hall and the park of Grouchy can thus discover and reappropriate all the typical elements of a landscaped park of the XIXth century: French garden, dovecote, terraces, statues, temple of love, vegetable garden, icehouse, pond, grid of honour…

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone, for this video take a seat aboard one of the few suburban services to cross 3 regions! (Normandy, Picardy and Ile de France).

This route that will start in the countryside will take us to the heart of Paris while crossing the French Vexin and sinking little by little through an increasingly dense suburb.

This route was special for drivers because the Pontoise - Gisors section was not equipped until recently with EAS equipment (agent driving alone). A controller therefore provided passenger service as is still customary to see in the provinces.

Today totally ousted from this line by the Z50000 (nat), we will make this journey aboard a powerful BB27300, a machine originally designed for freight that will have no trouble taking these 6 VB2n cars (330 Tons) to Paris.

Video to watch preferably in 2160p or 1440p even if your screen is not in 4k resolution.

If you like this kind of video, subscribe by activating the bell to be informed of future videos posted! do not hesitate to like and leave your opinion in comment, this is very important for the channel :)

????????Paris, Luxembourg Gardens 4K 60fps | short walk

A walk in Luxembourg Gardens, located in Paris, France. You can see The Luxembourg Palace in this video, which is the first great example of French classical architecture during the 17th century.

--
Luxembourg Gardens(Jardin du Luxembourg)

The Jardin du Luxembourg, also known in English as the Luxembourg Gardens, is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, France. It was created beginning in 1612 by Marie de' Medici, the widow of King Henry IV of France, for a new residence she constructed, the Luxembourg Palace. The garden today is owned by the French Senate, which meets in the Palace. It covers 23 hectares and is known for its lawns, tree-lined promenades, flowerbeds, model sailboats on its circular basin, and picturesque Medici Fountain, built in 1620. The name Luxembourg comes from the Latin Mons Lucotitius, the name of the hill where the garden is located.

quoted from

Luxembourg Palace

The Luxembourg Palace is located at 15 Rue de Vaugirard in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It was originally built (1615–1645) to the designs of the French architect Salomon de Brosse to be the royal residence of the regent Marie de' Medici, mother of King Louis XIII. After the Revolution it was refashioned (1799–1805) by Jean Chalgrin into a legislative building and subsequently greatly enlarged and remodeled (1835–1856) by Alphonse de Gisors. Since 1958 it has been the seat of the Senate of the Fifth Republic.

Immediately west of the palace on the Rue de Vaugirard is the Petit Luxembourg, now the residence of the Senate President; and slightly further west, the Musée du Luxembourg, in the former orangery. On the south side of the palace, the formal Luxembourg Garden presents a 25-hectare green parterre of gravel and lawn populated with statues and large basins of water where children sail model boats.

Normandy, short impression; France

Normandy, French: Normandie, is a geographical region of France corresponding to the former Duchy of Normandy. The continental territory covers 30,627 km² and forms the preponderant part of Normandy and roughly 5% of the territory of France. It is divided for administrative purposes into two regions: Lower Normandy and Upper Normandy. The Channel Islands (referred to as Îles Anglo-Normandes in French) are historically part of Normandy, cover 194 km² and comprise two bailiwicks: Guernsey and Jersey, which are British Crown dependencies.
Upper Normandy (Haute-Normandie) consists of the French departments of Seine-Maritime and Eure, and Lower Normandy (Basse-Normandie) of the departments of Orne, Calvados, and Manche.
During the Second World War, the D Day landings on the Normandy beaches, under the code name Operation Neptune, started the lengthy Battle of Normandy and resulted in the Liberation of Paris and the restoration of the French Republic. These landings were a significant turning point in the war.
The region is bordered along the northern coasts by the English Channel. There are granite cliffs in the west and limestone cliffs in the east. There are also long stretches of beach in the centre of the region. The bocage typical of the western areas caused problems for the invading forces in the Battle of Normandy. A notable feature of the landscape is created by the meanders of the Seine as it approaches its estuary.
The principal cities (population at the 1999 census) are Rouen (518,316 inhabitants in the metropolitan area), the capital of Upper Normandy and formerly of the whole province; Caen (420,000 inhabitants in the metropolitan area), the capital of Lower Normandy; Le Havre (296,773 inhabitants in the metropolitan area); and Cherbourg (117,855 inhabitants in the metropolitan area).
