Quicksilver Express Review, Gilroy Gardens Morgan Mine Train | Morgan's First Coaster
Quicksilver Express is the largest coaster at Gilroy Gardens. This mine train was actually the first coaster manufactured by Morgan, but it wasn't assembled until 2001 when the park was rebranded as Bonfante Gardens. This ride has a mostly secluded layout, but parts of it are visible from the midway.

The Circus Trees of Gilroy Gardens
Who says you can’t combine a theme park day with a unique adventure in Mother Nature? The Gilroy Gardens theme park, in the Central Coast region, features more than 40 rides, many with produce-inspired themes such as the Mushroom Swing, the Artichoke Dip, and (a no-brainer in the Garlic Capital of the World) the Garlic Twirl. But don’t miss the Circus Trees, the elaborately grafted trees that twist and contort in fanciful ways. Challenge your kids to the scavenger hunt to see them all.

24 TACOS IN ONE DAY!!! Gilroy California Taco Trail | Retirement Vlog #38
We had one of our best retirement travel days during our California Travel vlog in Gilroy, California, for Taco Tuesday! The challenge was to see if we could eat a taco at every place on the Gilroy Taco Trail in one day. It felt like man vs food, but we did it!!! In the process, we met the most creative, taco masters who were so excited to share their creations with us. Their energy and enthusiasm for their restaurants were awe inspiring. While Gilroy is known as the Garlic Capital of the World, it should be known for it's tacos! If you are in San Francisco Bay Area or in San Jose, make a trip to Gilroy for Taco Tuesday. You can also visit the Gilroy Garlic Festival, have fun at the Gilroy Gardens, or just come for some comida Mexicana! Be sure to stop by the Visit Gilroy location in the outlet mall or the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce downtown. Tell them the Retirement Travelers sent you! Early retirement is so much fun!

In 2021, we made the big decision to extreme downsize to just a suitcase and a small backpack, each. We started our journey around the world beginning in Central America. We hope that over the next ten years, we will have seen many beautiful things, made many memories and new friends, and shared the experience with our children and grandchildren.
