Wondo Genet is a resort town in Ethiopia.
Located southeast of Shashemene in the Sidama Region, with a latitude and longitude of 7°1′N 38°35′E and an elevation of 1723 meters.
Distance From Addis Ababa to Wondo Genet = 275 Km
Shashemene (ሻሸመኔ) to Wondo Genet = 17 Km
Hawasa (ሐዋሳ) to Wondo Genet = 30 Km
The main attractions of Wondo Genet includes
*hot spring water for bathing and swimming;
*the forested landscape,
*streams, birds and other wildlife in the surrounding; and the cafeteria, bar and bedroom services. The attractive quality of the site for many of the users is its nature-based resources.

We Found A Perfect Peaceful Place To Hide in Ethiopia Africa
Wondo Gomet hot springs in The Sothern part of Ethiopia in Africa. It is a perfect place to chill, enjoy the swim and relax from the hustles of the city.
The name of this hot springs resort 16km southeast of Shashemene translates as ‘Green Heaven’, which was more applicable before the hills were cleared of most of their forest. The cement hot springs pools have more the feel of a water treatment plant than a swimming pool, but it's a great place to enjoy a slice of local life.

I'm back in Ethiopia for the 3rd time because it's one of my favorite countries in Africa! I am now exploring a city in the North called Gondar, and little did I know that I'd come across thousands of fellow Jews.
As you might know by now, I enjoy connecting with Jewish communities around the world, like I've done in Afghanistan, Yemen, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Philippines among many others -- but this experience has been the most eye-opening because of how alive the Jewish culture is. Some 4,000 Ethiopian Jews are here, studying torah, keeping Shabbat and learning Hebrew.
If this is not a fascinating story, then I am not sure what is! Join me as I take you inside the world of the forgotten Jewish tribe of Ethiopia.

THIS IS CRAZY!! Sorry Dutch people, you are not the tallest in the world. Not even close! You guys will not believe how tall the people are in South Sudan! Like EVERYONE on the streets of Juba (South Sudan's capital) is well over 6 feet tall, and many over 7 feet - even the females! It's one of the most unbelievable features of mankind that I've ever seen anywhere on this planet.

Timkat Ethiopia - An episode of series: The 10 Best Annual Events and Festivals in Africa.
Timkat is an Ethiopian Orthodox celebration that marks the Epiphany, or baptism of Christ. The three-day festival is held in towns and cities across the country, but the most famous occurs in Gondar. Here, thousands of pilgrims dressed in white robes accompany a replica of the Ark of the Covenant from each of the city's churches to the royal bathing pool known as Fasiladas' Bath. After a candlelit vigil, the waters of the pool are blessed and celebrants take to the water to renew their baptism vows. The rest of the festival is dedicated to feasting and dancing..
