UZDROWISKO CIEPLICE ŚLĄSKIE ZDRÓJ JELENIA GÓRA. PAŁAC, MUZEUM PRZYRODNICZE. CO ZOBACZYĆ. ATRAKCJE
Położone w województwie dolnośląskim Cieplice Śląskie Zdrój, obecnie część Jeleniej Góry, uchodzą na najstarsze i najcieplejsze uzdrowisko w Polsce. Choć akurat nam te drugie określenie nie bardzo się sprawdziło, bo trafiliśmy na dość nieprzyjazną dla turystów pogodę. Jednak termin ten pochodzi nie od ciepłoty powietrza, ale od tutejszych gorących źródeł mineralnych, których temperatura wynosi prawie 90 stopni Celsjusza. Bogate w krzem, fluor i siarkę od wieków przyciągały kuracjuszy chcących poprawić zdrowie. Sprawdźmy zatem, dlaczego warto odwiedzić Cieplice.

Kotor, Montenegro - from Russia to NATO and back: how has Montenegro lived for 2400 years?
Montenegro is a small but history-rich country on the Balkan Peninsula. Its history is closely intertwined with events that took place in the region, and is also associated with important European powers. Let's take a fascinating walk through the ancient city of Kotor and talk about the history of these places. Let's start with antiquity.
The Byzantine Empire had a significant influence on the formation of Montenegrin culture and way of life. Then in the Middle Ages the region experienced barbarian invasions and occupation by the Venetian Republic. These influences have left their mark on Montenegrin architecture, language and traditions.
At the beginning of the 19th century, during the Napoleonic era, Montenegro, under the leadership of Peter I, freed itself from Turkish rule. However, while remaining formally independent, the country entered into an alliance with Russia to ensure its security from Ottoman influence.
At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, Montenegro united with the Kingdom of Serbia and became the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. During World War II, the region was occupied by the Nazis and became an anti-fascist stronghold. After the war, Montenegro became part of the newly created Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia, maintaining its autonomy.
However, in the early 1990s, NATO intervention and the collapse of Yugoslavia led to Montenegro declaring independence in 2006. This period was also accompanied by the events of the bloody, disintegrating Yugoslavia and military conflicts in the region.
In recent decades, Montenegro has been striving for integration with the West. Its accession to NATO in 2017 was an important step towards Euro-Atlantic integration. This decision was justified by the desire to ensure security and stability in the region, as well as to emphasize Montenegro's intention to become part of the European community.

What Does AI Think of Every Country? Part 12: Micronesia - Nauru
I thought it would be fun to see what AI thinks of every single country. Not only using Midjourney for the pictures, but also using ChatGPT to give a quick description of each country and have it voiced by 11ElevenLabs.
This will be a 20 part series as there are, I believe, 196 countries and I'm doing 10 countries per video to keep them from being too long.
To be fair with the prompt, I did 4 prompts for each. Using Afghanistan as an example, these are the 4 prompts:

The Country of Afghanistan --s 100
The Country of Afghanistan --s 750
I went with the default 100 and then 750 to see if adding a higher style value would change it all that much. Then, because there are some countries that are also names of other things (Georgia also being a state, Turkey also being a bird/food, etc.), I felt I should do the latter 2 versions also to be specific.
Hopefully you find this interesting. I know I did. I actually learned a lot making this. There were quite a few countries I'd never even heard of before and it was a good way to find places I'd like to travel to some day.

Greg interviews friend of the show Rikker Dockum ( , a linguist finishing his PhD at Yale, who has been doing research in northwest Burma on a local dialect that is part of the same family of languages as Thai. After discussing this unusual dialect, Greg and Rikker chat about the modern Thai language and how it has slowly splintered and changed over time, including a few interesting tidbits into why Thais call Google ‘Uncle Goo’ and why the Thai translation of the Forrest Gump novel used a very specific spelling of a particular word. To wrap it up, Rikker gives us his thoughts on ‘language death’ and what role the forces of globalization and modern technology play.
