Boating Along the River of Alz Germany
From Innsbruck where we live its 1hr and 45mins drive. We started the boating in Seebruck until Truchlaching only because our Ysabella dont like to continue anymore ????????. We had a problem looking for transportation (bus/taxi) going back to our cars, so if you want to do the boating here, you must park one car on the starting point and the other car to the end point where you gonna finished.
The Alz is a river in Bavaria, southern Germany, the only discharge of the Chiemsee( Lake ). Its origin is on the northern shore near Seebruck. It is a right tributary of the Inn, into which it flows in Marktl. Other towns on the Alz are Altenmarkt an der Alz, Trostberg, Garching an der Alz and Burgkirchen an der Alz.
The Alz is divided into the Obere Alz (upper Alz) and the Untere Alz (lower Alz). The section from the Chiemsee down to Altenmarkt is called the Obere Alz. The section from Altenmarkt to the mouth in Marktl is called the Untere Alz.
The Traun, a 29 km (18 mi) river flowing past the regional administrative center of Traunstein, is a tributary of the Alz.
Boating in Alz is relaxing because the stream moves you forward no need to paddle most of the times.

Burghausen / Germany is a town in Upper Bavaria which is home to the longest castle complex in the world. There are six castle courtyards lined up that make up a length of over one kilometre. There are more famous castles in Germany, the town is good to visit on a tour with Altötting and Mühldorf which are a short train ride away.
On this walk we start at the old town of Burghausen and then make the climb up to the castle hill. We see a part of the longest castle with a great view over Burghausen. At last we head back to the train station where we continue our journey.

Burghausen Castle Germany
The castle hill was settled as early as the Bronze Age. The castle (which was founded before 1025) was transferred to the Wittelsbachs after the death of the last count of Burghausen, Gebhard II, in 1168. In 1180 they were appointed dukes of Bavaria and the castle was extended under Duke Otto I of Wittelsbach.
With the first partition of Bavaria in 1255, Burghausen Castle became the second residence of the dukes of Lower Bavaria, the main residence being Landshut. The work on the main castle commenced in 1255 under Duke Henry XIII (1253–1290). In 1331 Burghausen and its castle passed to Otto IV, Duke of Lower Bavaria.

Ein paar Worte zur *Geschichte von Burghausen*
Die Geschichte von Burghausen reicht bis ins 11. Jahrhundert zurück, als hier eine Burg errichtet wurde, die im Laufe der Jahrhunderte zu einer der größten Burganlagen Europas ausgebaut wurde.
Im Mittelalter war Burghausen ein wichtiger Handelsplatz und eine bedeutende Stadt im Herzogtum Bayern. Die Stadt war oft umkämpft und wechselte mehrmals den Besitzer, bis sie schließlich im 19. Jahrhundert Teil des Königreichs Bayern wurde.
Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurde Burghausen von den Alliierten bombardiert und schwer beschädigt. Nach dem Krieg wurde die Stadt wieder aufgebaut und entwickelte sich zu einem wichtigen Industriestandort, insbesondere durch die Ansiedlung von Chemieunternehmen.
Heute ist Burghausen vor allem bekannt für seine imposante Burganlage, die jedes Jahr zahlreiche Besucher anzieht. Die Stadt hat aber auch eine lebendige Altstadt mit historischen Gebäuden, Kirchen und Museen zu bieten.

Mühldorf am Inn / Germany is a Bavarian town located around 80km (50mi) east of Munich. Mühldorf a. Inn which used to belong to the prince bishopric of Salzburg.
Mühldorf has a 500-meter-long town square with shops, arcades and colorful town houses. The Inn-Salzach architectural style is typical of the region while it also has famous folk festivals and their Schützen- und Trachtenzug is one of the larger ones in Bavaria.
