To start our street food tour in Sicily, Italy, we went to a local patisserie inside a monastery that makes the best Sicilian cannoli in Palermo.

To continue our street food tour in Sicily, Italy, we went to the most extreme street food market in Palermo, Ballaro' market.

Inside the market, we had the most extreme and insanely delicious street food in Palermo, Sicily.
We had steamed octopus, a sandwich with Frittola and Stigghiola.

A 120 km da Palermo e a circa 60 km da Enna, arroccato sul Monte Barone e con l’Etna di fronte, si trova il pluripremiato borgo medioevale. L’aria fine e il profumo di montagna ci portano a Gangi, che, più che un borgo, è una cittadina dalle origini mitiche. Il borgo medievale, che tramuta la roccia in arte e sembra sorgere direttamente dalla pietra, bisogna cercarlo proprio in cima, superando le pendici del monte. Ma ecco che, imboccata una stradina acciottolata, si apre davanti agli occhi una scenografia lapidea: un grosso gregge di case addossate le une alle altre, facciate dorate, addobbate di fiori, balconcini di ferro battuto, ricchi portali. Diciotto chiese, palazzi signorili, tesori artistici sono disseminati in queste stradine che s’inerpicano e s’intrecciano in un grandioso scenario naturale.

The award-winning medieval village is located 120 km from Palermo and about 60 km from Enna, perched on Mount Barone and with Mount Etna in front of it. The fine air and the scent of the mountains lead us to Gangi, which, more than a village, is a town with mythical origins. The medieval village, which transforms the rock into art and seems to rise directly from the stone, must be looked for right at the top, overcoming the slopes of the mountain. But here, taking a cobbled street, a stone scenography opens up before your eyes: a large flock of houses leaning against each other, gilded facades, decorated with flowers, wrought iron balconies, rich portals. Eighteen churches, noble palaces, artistic treasures are scattered along these narrow streets that climb and intertwine in a grandiose natural setting.

Gangi - the most beautiful village in Italy.

It's a little gem, full of historical heritage and traditions. According to legend, its was originally the mythical city of Engyon founded by the Cretans near the spring of the same name.
