Ranipur is counted among the ancient towns of Sindh province. It is located at a distance of 30 km from Kot Diji Fort and 50 km from Khairpur district. The city was settled in the 16th century. Ranipur is situated between two canals, the Rohri Canal to the east and the Abol Canal to the west, but the area is irrigated by the Rohri Canal, while other water needs are met by the Abol Canal. Why is it called Ranipur?
When Darya Khan, the ruler of Thatta, came to Khairpur with his queen, he liked the scenery of this town so much that he stayed here for many months. During this time he named her after his wife and gave her the name Ranipur. The town also enjoyed the status of a state and even today the name Ranipur State is inscribed on its railway station. After the formation of Pakistan, its statehood came to an end. The town is also important for the shrines of the saints.
At a distance of 3 km from Ranipur is the mausoleum of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast, a Sufi poet, and also the mausoleums of Saleh Shah, Hajran Shah, and King Budla. The town has five gates named after the elders of the religion, including Bab Dastgir, Bab Sachal Sarmast, Bab Bodla, Bab Saleh Shah, and Bab Shah Abdul Jabbar Shah.

The video is based on a travelogue while Roaming in Streets of Shikarpur, The Beautiful City of Sindh, it's street view and detailed road trip. It was recorded during a short trip of Shikarpur on Sun Apr 11/2021 by Salar Lateef - The Vlogger.
Shikarpur is one of the major cities of Sindh, having rich historical background. In past, it played a pivotal role of being a financial hub of central and south Asia. However, the strategic location of Shikarpur had also a great significance. In present days, Shikarpur is known for its richest historical background, hometown of Shaikh Ayaz, renowned poet of Sindhi, antique architecture of pre partition built buildings and last but not the least - delicious pickle, which is being prepared here and supplied nationwide.
How #Wikipedia describes Shikarpur is: Shikarpur is a small city and the capital of #Shikarpur District in #Sindh province of #Pakistan. It is situated about 29 km west of the right bank of the #Indus, with a railway station, 37 km north-west of #Sukkur. It is the 42nd largest city of Pakistan by population according to the 2017 census.
According to a few #historians the city of Shikarpur was revived during the Kalhora rule and that was what brought about a turnaround in making it the financial capital of not only South Asia but also of Central Asia. Some people think that the city was founded by Kalhoras' cousins Daudpotas --- and it was named Shikarpur because the Talpur Mirs were fond of shikar (hunting). Another school of thought believes Shikarpur was admittedly there before the shikar-loving Talpurs arrived on the scene; for another, Shikarpur has always been a trading and banking center, and never a hunting lodge. Some experts think that Shikarpur is really Shakaripur --- the town founded by the vanquisher of the Shakas, the Scythian.
Shikarpur, the seat of civilization, culture, trade and commerce acquired political and economic importance because of its strategic location on the map of Sindh, being directly accessible to those who came from Central and West Asia through the Bolan Pass. In the early 17th century this emerald city in the northern Sindh province of Pakistan became the nucleus of a historical trade center on a caravan route through the Bolan Pass into Afghanistan. Shikarpur became the core of manufactures including brass and metal goods, carpets, cotton cloth, and embroidery. Its great bazaar (covered because of the summer heat) is famous throughout Turkistan and southern Asia.
The predominantly Muslim population supported Muslim League and Pakistan Movement. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, the minority Hindus migrated to India while the Muslims refugees from India settled down in the Shikarpur District.

The N-5 or National Highway 5 is 1819 km national highway in Pakistan, which extends from Karachi in Sindh to Torkham in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The N-5 is the longest national highway in Pakistan and serves as an important north–south road artery, starting from Karachi and extending through Hyderabad, Moro and Sukkur in Sindh before crossing into Punjab province where it passes through Multan, Sahiwal, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhelum and Rawalpindi. At Rawalpindi, it turns westwards and passes through Attock Khurd before crossing the Indus River into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to continue through Nowshera and Peshawar before entering the Khyber Pass and reaching the border town of Torkham in the FATA. Its total length is divided into 1021 km in Punjab, 671 km in Sindh, and 165 km in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is managed by the National Highway Authority.

Ghotki is located at the #border of #Sindh and #Punjab provinces in #Pakistan. As per #Wikipedia #Ghotki is a #city in #northern Sindh, Pakistan. It is the headquarter of Ghotki Taluka. It is the 87th #largestcity of Pakistan by #population
According to #Mirza Kalich Beg, Ghotki was found by Pir Mohsin Shah during 1447 and had also constructed a glorious #mosque He has written that previous name of Ghotki was Ghota.
Prior to its #establishment as a #district in 1983, it formed part of #Sukkur District. According to the 1998 #census the district had a population of 970,550. Of these residents, 158,500 (16.33%) lived in #urban areas, and 812,050 (83.67%) lived in #rural areas.

Ghotki District is streched in 6975 km2 (1,555,528 acres). 25,000 acres area of the district consisting of #desert land, 402,578 acres (25.88%) is #flooded (Katcha) area and remaining area lying between desert and flooded areas of district is cultivated. #Desert area having wind-blown #hills as Achro Thar (White Desert). Flooded area (Kacha) is stretched on 87 km along #IndusRiver from north - east to south - west of the district where #forests exist in this area.
