KOTOR Montenegro ???????? is BREATHTAKING! Top Things To See & Do | 197 Countries, 3 Kids

Join us as we visit Kotor - a coastal town in Montenegro nestled in the deepest natural fjord of the Mediterranean Sea!

Kotor is home to a picturesque untouched Old Town with fortified walls. Squeezed between the sea and the mountain, it is one of a very few Medieval towns untouched by wars. Kotor is also home to the Stari Grad - one of the best-preserved medieval towns on the Mediterranean, making it a UNESCO Heritage Site.

The spectacular Old Town is a dream come true for history buffs with its old houses, narrow streets, small squares and yards, Catholic and Orthodox churches dating back to the 9th Centuries, lapidarium, town hall clock, and more!

In Kotor, we noticed an interesting thing: there are many cats sitting in front of the shops and basically roaming around everywhere. For this reason, it is known as the City of The Cats. They even have a museum of cats!

Kotor’s city walls, which stretch for 3 miles (4.5 km) directly above the city, are also a major attraction for tourists. For an awe-inspiring view of The Old Town and The Boka Bay, you can climb along the city walls up to the castle on the top! The streets here are almost the same as the streets of Dubrovnik.

During our stay, we visited a village called Sutomore, with a beautiful beach area, and discovered Bar, a Venetian fortified town built in the 16th century. The stonework and buildings were absolutely beautiful.

We also drove up to a city on the mountain called Cetinje. Here we saw a statue of lord Ivan who was the ruler of Montenegro back in 1400 when this was the capital of the country.

Overall we had an amazing time in Montenegro. It is definitely a place we look forward to visiting again!

Crestline, Ohio - Driving Through Crestline (2021)

To see this drive a 4x speed visit...

Crestline is a village in Crawford and Richland Counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. Crestline's population was 4,630 at the 2010 census. It is the third largest municipality in Crawford County. The Crawford County portion of Crestline is part of the Bucyrus Micropolitan Statistical Area, while the small portion of the village that extends into Richland County is considered part of the Mansfield Metropolitan Statistical Area.

First came the railroad, and then came the town. It all started in 1850 when a route was needed between Shelby and Galion, a distance of 13 miles, by the Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati Railroad, or the Bee Line as it was known then. Since there was no town between Shelby and Galion, it was decided that a station should be placed halfway for passenger convenience. The station was constructed where the line crossed the Leesville road.

Crestline was platted in 1852. It was once thought to be the highest point in Ohio and was named from its high elevation.

This station soon developed into a town, with a general store, post office, and a few homes. Early settlers in the village believed that the town was the watershed of the state, where streams to the north emptied into Lake Erie and those to the south emptied into the Ohio River, thus the name Crest Line. The town was not on the watershed line, but the name stuck and eventually became one word.

During its heyday, Crestline was a division point for the Pennsylvania Railroad's Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railway. The city housed major engine facilities and would often be the point where motive power was changed for the relatively flat runs to and from Chicago, Illinois. In addition to the town's station being a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad's east–west trains, the station served as a transfer point to the New York Central Railroad's northeast–southwest trains.

The Pennsylvania Railroad's engine facilities included a roundhouse on Crestline Road, decommissioned in 1968 in the aftermath of the merger between the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central Railroad to form Penn Central. Demolition of the historic roundhouse commenced in 2007 after years of neglect. But, some buildings still stand. Today, Chicago, Fort Wayne and Eastern Railroad, CSX and Norfolk Southern trains operate in and around Crestline.

Crestline, originally a railroad community, now thrives from the various businesses and industries located there. Crestline, however, is still considered a railroad community. The two crossing railroads that caused the beginning of the village still remain active.

On September 4, 2017 at approximately 10:45 p.m. a tornado passed from the west to just north of the village causing extensive damage to rural properties near the village. The National Weather Service classified the twister as an EF-2 with winds above 115 miles per hour. This incident was a rare event.

Following his death by assassination, the body of Abraham Lincoln was brought from Washington, D.C. to its final resting place in Lincoln's hometown of Springfield, Illinois, by funeral train. The train left Washington, D.C., on April 21, 1865 at 12:30 pm and traveled 1,654 miles (2,662 km) to Springfield, arriving on May 3, 1865. Several stops were made along the way, including Crestline on April 29, 1865 at 1:07 am.

Best FREE Museums To Visit In Manila, Philippines! ????????

Hello Guys! Welcome and today, I am going to visit 3 of the best museums in manila, National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of Anthropology and National Museum of the Philippines.

▶️ Please Subscribe:

There are a lot of museums to see in Manila, but there are a few that stand out and should be on everyone's list. There are three museums that you must visit.

The first thing we did this morning was go to the National Museum of Natural History. Rizal Park is home to one of the most popular museums in the country, which opened to the public in May 2018. Everyone, including Filipinos, foreigners, students, adults, and children, doesn't have to pay anything to get in.

The Tree of Life is the center of the atrium at the National Museum of Natural History. The museum has 6 floors. Tree of Life, Lolong, Rainforest Diorama, Mangrove Diorama, and The Marine Realm are the best places to visit. The displays are set up by ecosystem, with mountains and forests on the upper floors and wetlands and the underwater world on the lower floors. Start at the top and go down.

Then we ate lunch at Jollibee, the biggest fast food chain in the Philippines.

Then we started to look around the National Museum of Anthropology. The National Museum of Anthropology used to be called the Museum of the Filipino People. It shows us how people used to live in the past. Among them is the skullcap of Tabon Man, who lived in the Philippines around 24,000 BC and is thought by some to have been a woman.

The wreck of the San Diego, a Spanish galleon that sank off the coast of Luzon in 1600, takes up a lot of space in the museum. Items like shell-covered swords, coins, porcelain plates, and jewelry that were found on the ship are on display. There is also a large collection of pre-Columbian artifacts and musical instruments, as well as displays of native textiles.

We went to the National Museum of the Philippines at the end of the day. The National Museum of the Philippines is a large collection of museums and a planetarium that opened in 1901. It is right next to Rizal Park. Through the museum's large collections of fine art, ethnography, anthropology, archaeology, and natural history, you can learn about the history, art, and culture of the Philippines.

The National Museum includes the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Anthropology, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Planetarium. There are also branches of the museum all over the Philippines. It is also a place for education, culture, and science. It has lectures, interviews, publications, and different research programs.

The museum complex is so big that people should focus on the things that are most important to them.

These are just three of the many interesting museums in Manila. If you stay in Manila for an Uncharted Philippines adventure, you can see all of these and more.

So, watch the video till the end and let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Galion, Ohio

Galion is a city in Crawford County, Ohio. Founded in 1831, the town began as a farm to market town but boomed with the railroad. Koppe-Skinner House located at 201 south union street is the office to the Galion Historical Society. The house was built in 1863 and is one of the oldest houses in Galion. Historic Grace Church was built in 1875. Brownella Cottage and Carriage House Museum is a rare house museum. Built in 1887. The house has its original furnishings and belongings of its only occupants, Bishop William Montgomery Brown and his wife Ella. Tours of the cottage is by appointment. The Howard House was built in 1898 by Adam Howard the founder of Adam Howard Buggy Work. Galion has several beautiful older churches in town. Peace Lutheran Church on south market street is the oldest church building in Galion still in use. It was dedicated in 1875. The tower houses are one of the largest Tubular bell carillons in the world. (Thanks Joe for letting me tour your beautiful church.) Galion History Center features five historic buildings and two museums. Its great to see that this town really embraces its history and takes care of it.

Massillon, Ohio

Massillon is a city in Stark County, Ohio. Massillon was originally settled in 1812 by Quaker Settlers from Massachusett and Connecticut. Soon after the settlement, the Ohio and Erie Canal began construction of the canal which would connect Lake Erie with the Ohio River which led Massillon to becoming a major port. Steelmaking and fabrication are integral part of Massillons history. Massillon has a great downtown. Lincoln Movie Theater was built in 1915, is thought to be one of the oldest movie house in the county still in operation. The towns nick name is The City of Champions. The town which has raised more than two dozen professional football players and ten professional base ball stars. Massillon has some great restaurants, and if you are into cars Chloe's Dinner is a great find. With classic cars and great food.

Shelby, Ohio

Shelby is a city in Richland County, Ohio. The town was laid out in 1834, and Shelby was Incorporated as a village in 1853. In 1890 the seamless tube Industry in the United States was born in Shelby with the establishment of The Tuby. In 1891 the town began producing seamless steel tubing. In 1921 the village became a city. The 1872 Historic Engine House on main street is the second oldest of its kind in Ohio. While visiting Shelby I loved looking at the historical downtown buildings, sadly I noticed one building had some fire damage which a local told me caught fire. On the corner of main street in downtown stands the old Citizen's bank, now home of the Vault Wine Bar. I really enjoy seeing the older buildings revitalize. Older buildings help us to maintain a connection to our past and bring certain character and charm to our neighborhoods.

Columbus Ohio Downtown Condo $1300 Per Month Rent

In Columbus Ohio I visited a historic loft building thay has been converted into condos. I thought the building and the condos are quite nice, they rent for $1300 per month for studios.

I believe that one can travel as a minimalist, Cheap Charlie style and have a great time. For those of us who love to travel, the joy of it is the new experiences, exploring new places, meeting new people, experiencing difference cultures. To do these things a lot of money is not required, in fact by spending a lot there is the real possibility that money can get in the way of these things. I keep my backpacking ultralight, bringing as few things as possible so I can also explore and move around as much as possible. I do a lot of walking on my travels.

Shawshank Redemption – Ohio State Reformatory – Filming Location and Haunted Prison – Mansfield, OH

Featuring The Tolle Road and Roadtrip Rich!!!

This week begins a series of adventures I took in Ohio with my friends Tolle from @TheTolleRoad and Roadtrip Rich! Tolle took me on tour around his state to show me some really cool places. We had to start with a visit the Ohio State Reformatory to have a look around. Opened from 1886 to 1990 it was once the home of up to 2500 of Ohio’s roughest inmates. Its biggest claim to fame was the setting and filming location of the 1994 film The Shawshank Redemption. Other notable films at the location were Tango and Cash as well as Air Force One. We toured the facility and checked out many of the Shawshank screen used props. We had a total blast walking around the old jail and you’re invited! Do come along!!!

Villas of the Galleon 52 | Seven Mile Beach | SOLD! | Cayman Islands Sotheby's Realty

Villas of the Galleon sits on four hundred and fifty feet of what is arguably the best section of Seven Mile Beach. No trivial matter when discussing a beach that is regularly voted the best in the world, as hotel’s that seek to give their guests the best of everything, both illustrious neighbours to Villas of the Galleon; The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman and The Westin Grand Cayman stand testament to this prime location. Seven Mile Beach is without doubt the best beach the Cayman Islands has to offer, not only for its pristine white sands gently kissed by crystal clear Caribbean waters a “sea of palest em'rald, merging to darkest blue” as the Cayman Islands National Song reminds us, but with its westerly outlook it provides a ring side seat to such spectacular sunsets that even the most staunch atheist might posit the possibility of a divine touch!
Built in 1980 Villas of the Galleon is a beautiful example of the low-rise buildings of a bygone Cayman era where three stories was the allowed building height. Having a two story top unit such as offered at the Villas of the Galleon, which technically created a four storey building would certainly have been viewed as pushing the boundary back in the day, but seems a far cry from the ten stories allowed on Seven Mile Beach now, never mind the talk of Iconic Towers elsewhere within the Cayman Islands. Recently renovated from top to bottom Villas of the Galleon #52 offers the best of both worlds providing what is essentially a brand new, modern apartment, in a low rise low density complex and a two storey home that offers a level of individuality lacking among the more homogenous high-rise apartments. A penthouse corner unit #52 Villas of the Galleon enjoys windows on three sides of the building, a vaulted ceiling and an overall feeling of space and light. 52 holds what is probably the best position in the complex, and the view from the balcony is second to none.

Our Terrifying Night at Brownella Cottage! This Ohio Haunted Location is a Hidden Gem.

Welcome to SkullsandKittens! Some locations look beautiful on the inside and out, but their true nature isn't revealed until you walk inside it's depths. Often times they hold things much more secretive & sinister inside. Brownella Cottage is definitely one of those places. It got ahold of us early, and didn't let up until the end of the night. We were touched, had equipment failures, responses to our questions and SO much more. I even saw a ghost dog!! This location was a memorable hidden gem that we absolutely cannot wait to get back to.

Brownella Cottage was a HUGE surprise...in more ways than one! This location has 4 buildings on site that can be investigated. So much happened that we didn't even get to touch on all of them. Sit back, relax and watch Our Terrifying Night at Brownella Cottage!
