PARIS HOTEL TOUR ???????? Our First Day in France!
Today we give you a detailed hotel tour in Paris! During our trip we stayed in the 9th arrondissement, which happens to be home to the Palais Garnier opera house. We booked a corner room on the 6th floor called “Sous Les Toits 2” and the architectural views were beautiful! We could even see the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre from one of our many windows.
Downstairs is a restaurant called Frenchie Pigalle. The dishes were so tasty! Later we learned there are a collection of Frenchie restaurants. “Frenchie” is the nickname of chef Gregory Marchand who received a Michelin star for his Frenchie restaurant located on 5 rue du Nil in Paris.
We loved staying in this neighborhood. There also was the Pigalle Cafe one block away, which is part of the Pigalle Hotel. We visited France in late November, which is considered to be low season. This room was $290 a night, but prices vary throughout the year. Generally speaking, Parisian hotels are much more expensive in the summer.
Remember to pack small and lighter as possible! Elevators in Paris tend to be tiny as they were built in many years after the buildings were constructed, thus why they may not stop on every floor. 4-star and 5-star hotels tend to be more spacious.

A 5-minute walk from Opéra Garnier and 700 yards from Le Louvre Museum is this Hotel. It is set in a 17th-century building and offers free Wi-Fi access.
An LCD TV with satellite channels and a minibar are in all of the rooms at Gaillon Opera. Each is air-conditioned and individually decorated in a contemporary style.
Hotel facilities include a daily buffet in the arched-ceiling breakfast room and babysitting services. There is also a 24-hour reception where international newspapers and free maps are available.
The hotel is just 300 yards from Pyramides Metro Station, which leads directly to the popular Rue Mouffetard and Bercy Village. The Champs Elysées is a 20-minute walk from the hotel.

Bonjour、今日のフランスは、奇才シェフ、マルク・ヴェイラと歴史あるビストロ、ラ・フォンテーヌ・ガイヨンです。
ミシュランが2019年1月、三ツ星レストラン『ラ・メゾン・デ・ボワ(La Maison des Bois)』の評価を二ツ星に格下げした件を巡り、行われていた訴訟で、シェフが敗訴する判決が下されました。
「調査員がチーズスフレにイギリス産のチェダーチーズを使っていると言った」と主張。
「地元アルプスの土地を侮辱する発言であり、キッチンの仲間も悲しんでいる」
農場とジャルダン・ボタニック（Jardin Botanique/植物園）を有するシェフとして名を馳せるヴェイラ氏は、厳格で有名なミシュラン審査員を「大変無能である」と非難しました。
「ミシュランの格付けは、自分たちの商業目的で、故意に競争を仕掛けようとする詐欺師だ」とし、「我々のレストランを、ミシュランから外してもらう」と要求したのですが、外すことはありませんでした。
この訴訟により、逆に損害賠償金を支払わされる事になったのですが、売り上げは7%上昇し、常に予約はいっぱいだという事です。
タイヤメーカーのミシュラン・ガイドは、もともと市街地図と休憩のためのガソリンスタンドやホテルの紹介がある、ドライブを楽しむためのガイドブックとして、無料で配布されていたもの。
星は価値を見極めるための単に基準としてあるわけですが、ミシュランの格付けにより、多くのシェフがストレスに晒され、自殺に追い込まれるケースが後を経たず、問題にもなっています。
