We visit Funchal, the islands capital, the local farmers market, some stunning botanical and tropical gardens, ride the cable car, and go on two beautiful hikes. We start our walking tour at The forte de Sao Tiago and the head into old town to see the Brilliant Painted doors,such a iconic place to visit and one of the top things to see in Funchal during your visit.
A quick stop in the Farmers market with its fruit and flower displays before heading into town to visit Funchal cathedral.
After stopping for lunch of bolo do caco and Coral beer we then move on to Municipal square and walk around the Grounds of town hall.
We then come across a very strange shop !!
We then go to one of the Islands highest rated Poncha bars Rei Da poncha and sample a poncha and a Delicious nikkita.
Our final stop is the CR7 museum dedicated to Christiano Ronaldo.
We had a great day exploring all the top things to see in Funchal madeira !!!
