The spacious baroque complex was built in the middle of the 18th century as the summer residence of the prince-bishops of Fulda. The castle has a landscape park of around 30 hectares with wild, landscaped nature in a small ideal landscape. Natural meadows border on well-tended beds and artistically landscaped lakes.

Walk Through Fulda Christmas Market, 2021
Fulda is a very old, historic city located about 1.5 hours by train from Frankfurt. The Christmas Market is spread out nicely through the city, and it includes a small, medieval-type market in one of the courtyards.
The market has a few, unusual, Victorian-type Carousels that say they are steam-powered. They have amazing animals and carts on them. One carousel has a bar and is made for adults to sit on as it rotates.
