???????? Freistadt - Austria | What to Do and See in One Day
Today we're going to visit the tiny little town 45mins by train from Linz, called Freistadt, very near to the border with the Czech Republic and the things you can see and do in just one day.
I was not expecting it to be so cozy and beautiful, and I was very positively surprised with it :)
Freistadt has only 7000 inhabitants, but lots of green areas around the Old Walls for its people to enjoy a nice family time outside.
There is also a big brewery called Freistädter, which I plan to visit when it opens again!
The walk across the Old Town, from the Linzertor to the Böhmertor takes about 10mins and is super pleasant.
From Freistadt Bahnof, you can either walk (3km) to the old town, or take a taxi, the bus lines are not very frequent. If the weather is nice, I recommend the walk! :)
