Bei unserem Besuch in Esslingen (rund 93.500 Einwohner - Baden-Württemberg) haben uns besonders die mittelalterlichen Fachwerkhäuser begeistert. Der Speyrer Zehnthof, der Marktplatz, das Alte Rathaus und die Stadtkirche standen daneben genauso auf unserem Programm wie die Esslinger Burg.

Old Town (Medieval) area of Esslingen am Neckar, Germany
Esslingen am Neckar in Germany has been pretty much thriving since around since the year 800. Because it was spared from much of the bombings of WWII, the old town area remained pretty much intact. Walking through here is really a step back in time, with parts of the old city wall and tower still standing. The whole area is full of beautiful half-timbered houses that Germany is known for. The Rossneckar-canal, part of the Neckar River, runs through the city, with many homes built right over it. The main points of interest are: Staatstheater, Cannstatter Volksfest, Schlossplatz, Schillerplatz, and Fernsehturm Stuttgart - the first telecommunications tower in the world constructed from reinforced concrete. In Stuttgart you can visit the following museums: Stuttgart Art Museum, Porsche Museum, and Mercedes-Benz Museum, Stuttgart Tram museum, Kunstmuseum and Landesmuseum Württemberg. The most important church is the Stiftskirche. The most beautiful palaces of Stuttgart are the Solitude Palace and the Neues Schloss.

Esslingen am Neckar is a city in the Stuttgart Region of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany, seat of the District of Esslingen as well as the largest city in the district. Within Baden-Württemberg it is the 11th largest city.
It is located on the Neckar River, about 14 kilometres (9 miles) southeast of Stuttgart city center. The regions surrounding the city of Esslingen are also mostly developed.
Esslingen was a free imperial city for several centuries until it was annexed by Württemberg in 1802.
The German Timber-Frame Road passes through the city.
Prehistoric times
There is archaeological evidence that what is now the city of Esslingen was settled since the Neolithic period. Traces of human settlement found at the site of the city church date back to around 1000 B.C.
Roman times
In the 1st century AD the Esslingen region became part of the Roman Empire. During this period a Roman warehouse was located in the area of Oberesslingen. The nearest major Roman settlements and garrisons were at Cannstatt and Köngen.

Tübingen, Sehenswürdigkeiten der Universitätsstadt am Neckar
Tübingen (87.000 Einwohner, davon rund 26.000 Studenten) ist eine der ältesten Universitätsstädte in Deutschland. Die Eberhard Karls Universität wurde bereits 1477 gegründet. Unseren Rundgang beginnen wir am Rathaus am Marktplatz. Danach schauen wir uns u.a. die Neckarinsel mit Platanenallee und Neckarfront mit Hölderlinturm und Stiftskirche an. Natürlich steht auch Schloss Hohentübingen auf unserem Besuchsprogramm.

Neckartal-Radweg | Freiberg am Neckar - Haßmersheim #4
Die 4. Etappe unserer Radreise auf dem Neckartal-Radweg, begann nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück im 'Hotel am Wasen' in Freiberg am Neckar. Im Verlauf unserer Etappe pausierten wir in Heilbronn und radelten weiter an Bad-Friedrichshall und Bad Neckarsulm vorbei , bis wir am späten Nachmittag nach gut 70 km unsere Unterkunft 'Wirtshaus am Treidelpfad' in Haßmersheim erreichten.

【Marbach am Neckar①ドイツ】????????Walking in Marbach am Neckar Germany / Day Trip from Stuttgart
We visited Marbach am Neckar, located about 20km north of Stuttgart, about 30min by S-Bahn from Stuttgart central station.
This town is known as the birthplace of the German poet Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller. There are also many historical buildings and cute wooden houses that are typical of Germany, so there is a lot to see.
There is also a bike path, so if the weather is nice, cycling is a great way to visit :)

The city (Stadt) of Marbach am Neckar covers 18.06 square kilometers (6.97 sq mi) of the district of Ludwigsburg in a total of four separate exclaves. Marbach is, according to government urban planning, part of the Stuttgart Metropolitan Region.
