10 REASONS WHY PEOPLE LOVE VERACRUZ MEXICO

This video will provide 10 REASONS WHY PEOPLE LOVE VERACRUZ MEXICO. These are not ALL the reasons why people love Veracruz and if you have a reason why you love Veracruz, put it in the comment section and I will make another video.

1. El Tajin
2. Veracruz City
3. Tlacotalpan
4. Xalapa
5. La Antigua
6. Lago De Catemaco
7. Cempoala
8. Orizaba
9. Villa Rica
10. Coatepec

Veracruz, an elongated Mexican state bordering the Gulf of Mexico, is home to numerous beaches as well as the country’s highest peak, Pico de Orizaba, a dormant volcano. The modern port city of Veracruz was founded by Hernán Cortés in 1519 as a base for Spain’s conquest of the Aztec Empire. Today the city is famous for its exuberant annual Carnival festival.

Veracruz is a coastal state in Central Mexico. It has a developing tourism sector, with many ruins, colonial historical sites, natural features ranging from a towering Pico Orizaba-the highest point in Mexico-to low-lying lagoons and bio-reserves, and fairly decent beaches.

Veracruz City Highlights Tour - MEXICO w/Mike Vondruska - Travel Guide

In this episode, I take a short walking highlights tour in the city of Veracruz in Mexico.

The city of Veracruz is located on the Gulf of Mexico 250 miles east of Mexico City. Veracruz city has been called the Gateway to Mexico because of its deep water port. Cargo ships have docked here ever since the Spanish conquered Mexico in the early 1500's.

When visiting the city of Veracruz, be prepared to speak Spanish because very few people there speak English. Also, exchange your foreign currency for Mexican Pesos. Almost everywhere US dollars will not be accepted.

Here are some of the Highlights you will see during this quick walking tour:
- Plaza de Armas (the main central plaza)
- Malecon (the prominade near the ocean)
- Cafe de la Parroquia
- San Juan de Ulua fortress
- El Baluarte de Santiago (another fort which was a part of the walled city which at one time surrounded Veracruz for protection)

First Impressions Of Veracruz | Underrated City In Mexico ????????

Heroica Veracruz, State Of Veracruz, Mexico ????????

We arrived in the port city of Heroica Veracruz watch us head out into the city and give our first impressions of the place.

We absolutely loved the feel of the city Veracruz is seriously underrated its beautiful and the people were so warm couldnt have been any nicer. Not once did we have a bad experience. Even the military were great sports!

We also try some local street food in a tiny alleyway a local took us too we asked on the street!

Veracruz is unbelievable ????????????????????????

The People of Veracruz, Mexico (Veracruzanos)

The mean and women of the state of Veracruz, Mexico (Veracruzanos) are on of the main reasons I really enjoyed my time traveling in Veracruz.

Here's the playlist of the videos I made bicycling through Mexico:

What happened to VERACRUZ, MEXICO?!?

Our 1st time in Veracruz, Mexico! After a week in Puerto de Veracruz, we're thinking, WHAT THE HECK happened here?
►Learn Spanish like us!

During our time in Veracruz City, we enjoyed some time at the beach, visited Boca del Rio (a suburb of Heroica Veracruz), went to the Veracruz Aquarium, chased crabs, spent some time on the Veracruz Malecon, and explored a bit of what this port city has to offer.

We were thoroughly surprised by many aspects of the city, including some absolutely mouthwatering food local to Veracruz: consomé, picadas, and platano relleno. With how little tourism there is in Veracruz, Veracruz the question we're asking is, what happened to this place? It seems like a once thriving beach city is now practically a ghost town by comparison. Still, the largest and oldest port in Mexico remains incredibly active. We saw huge ships coming into the city continuously throughout our time here.

What do you think of Veracruz? Share your thoughts in the comments.

TIPS FOR TRAVELING TO VERACRUZ, MEXICO:
1. Wear shoes on the beach. We saw lots of glass on every beach we visited throughout Veracruz City.
2. Budget for your trip. We found Puerto de Veracruz to be much more expensive than other Mexican cities.
3. Expect to drive to your destinations in Veracruz City. Some areas are more walkable than others, but most places will be a 10-20 minute drive away. At the time of creating this video, Uber was not available in the area. There are lots of cabs in the area and also public buses.
4. You might need to cook at home. There are no shortage of seafood restaurants in Veracruz, but we found the number of restaurants overall to be much lower than in some cities.
5. When looking for a place to stay in Veracruz, Veracruz you'll probably want to find one with air conditioning. During our time here, it was 80+ degrees during the day with high humidity.

Why I Like Living in Boca del Rio, Veracruz Mexico

Boca del Rio is the adjoining city to the port city of Veracruz. Many people define the city of Veracruz as the historical city and Boca del Rio as the more modern city.
It is true that Boca has a modern indoor mall, casinos, US chain restaurants, high rise apartments, and a very exclusive neighborhood known as the Costa del Oro (Gold Coast).
In this video I give just a few reasons why I like living in Boca del Rio.
