Křivoklát Castle, Czech Republic - Best Travel Destination
Křivoklát Castle is located in the Central Bohemia Region of the Czech Republic. Křivoklát was founded in the 12th century, belonging to the kings of Bohemia. During the reign of Přemysl Otakar II a large, monumental royal castle was built, later rebuilt by king Václav IV and later enlarged by king Vladislav of Jagellon. The castle was damaged by fire several times. It was turned into a harsh prison and the building slowly deteriorated. During the 19th century, the family of Fürstenberg became the owners of the castle and had it reconstructed after a fire in 1826. Today the castle serves as a museum, tourist destination and place for theatrical exhibitions. Collections of hunting weapons, Gothic paintings and books are stored there. The village of Křivoklát, founded in the 14th century, grew slowly below the castle.

About the place:
The original medieval castle, extended in the 16th century to a Renaissance chateau, became the property of the famous Thirty Years War commander, Albrecht von Wallenstein in 1622, He turned it into the centre of his extensive Frýdlant duchy. The last noble owners were the Clam-Gallas, who opened the castle already in 1801 to the public; Frýdlant therefore became the oldest castle museum in Central Europe. Castle interiors can be seen (mementos from Albrecht von Wallenstein, the Knight’s Hall with portraits of the Gallas and Clam-Gallas owners, armoury, estate office, collection of historic pipes), as well as chateau interiors (state rooms, ladies’ and gentlemen’s rooms, children’s room, bathroom, kitchens). All the rooms are furnished with the original furniture, paintings, porcelain and other items. The Renaissance Chapel of St. Anne is also part of the tour. Occasionally the tours are enlivened by guides in costume, cake baking in the kitchens, concerts etc.

Frýdlant Castle and Hotel Ještěd, Czech Republic
We took a day trip from Prague starting at 7am first by bus to the city of Liberec then switched to a train for a 30 minute ride to visit Frýdlant Castle.
The tour of the castle is 2 hours long and you visit over 50 rooms. Once finished, we took the train back to Liberec and explored the city for the rest of the day.

Our main stop was Hotel Ještěd (pronounced Yeshted), you can either hike up, I estimate it to take about 1.5-2 hours or pay for a cable car ride up and down.
There are several nice viewpoints there and also you can grab a meal or dessert, warm drink inside.

????????Wybudowany w Średniowieczu, przebudowany w Renesansie zachował cechy obu tych epok.
Usytuowany na bazaltowej skale, dumnie góruje nad okolicą, posiadając jedną unikalną cechę. Mianowicie jest najstarszym muzeum zamkowym w środkowej Europie. Otwarto go dla zwiedzających już w roku 1801.
Muzeum czynne do dzisiaj, a my spojrzymy na wszystko z góry. Lecimy!

???????? FRÝDLANT • zabytkowe miasto w północnych Czechach!
FRÝDLANT to jeden z najważniejszych zabytkowych kompleksów w północnych Czechach! Wystarczy wymienić; zamek Frydlant, kościół dziekański, starówkę z placem Masaryka i wieżę widokową na Resselův vrch. Jest to miasto, gdzie niemal każda ulica oddycha historią.
W przeszłości Frýdlant był przez wiele lat ośrodkiem administracyjnym całego regionu. Pierwsza pisemna wzmianka o mieście Frýdlantu pochodzi z 1278 roku, kiedy tutejszy gród kupił od czeskiego króla ród Biberštejnów. Historia Frýdlantu jest też związana z nazwiskiem Albrechta z Valdštejna. Jego siedzibą był, co prawda Jičín, ale Albrecht nosił tytuł księcia frýdlanckiego.

Cmentarz zaskakuje rozległością, pięknym wyglądem oraz liczbą okazałych niegdyś grobowców, a znajduje się ich ponad sto. Wszystko się zmieniło po roku 1945, groby zostały zaniedbane i zniszczone. Dopiero w 2016 roku, dzięki projektowi uczniów szkół podstawowych, wszystkie opuszczone groby zostały wyremontowane i uporządkowane.

Dominantą Frýdlantu przy rynku, jest neorenesansowy ratusz, który wybudowano w latach 1893-1896. Na zewnątrz ratusz jest zdobiony posągami Sprawiedliwość i Ofiarność, w holu znajdują się piękne witrażowe okna oraz popiersie Albrechta z Valdštejna.
Ratusz ma narożną wieżę o wysokości 48 m, w której znajduje się mechanizm zegarowy oraz galeria widokowa dostępna dla zwiedzających. Co godzinę ze szczytu wieży rozbrzmiewa hejnał z różnymi melodiami.

W domu przysłupowym (najstarszy budynek we Frýdlancie) znajduje się mechaniczna szopka z wyjątkowo zachowanym dawnym mechanizmem, wykonanym przez Gustava Simona (1873–1953), budował ją przez 60 lat. Na powierzchni o wymiarach 4x2m umieścił 130 ruchomych i 50 statycznych figur.
6:12 Zamek i pałac Frýdlant
Historia zamku rozpoczęła się w XIII. wieku. Dużą rolę w jego historii odegrał Albrecht Wallenstein, wyrazista postać z okresu wojny trzydziestoletniej. Dziś w pałacu można obejrzeć zbiory porcelany i szkła, mebli wyposażenia pałacowego, broni. Znajduje się tu także galeria obrazów malarzy okresu baroku oraz wyjątkowa kolekcja fajek.

Zamek i pałac Frýdlant wznosi się na bazaltowej skale nad rzeką Smědá. Bazaltowe słupy widoczne pod zamkiem, zwane są „diabelskimi organami”.

Frýdlant je státní hrad a zámek nad městem Frýdlant v severních Čechách. Tento komplex skládající se ze středověkého hradu a renesančního zámku stojící na mohutné čedičové skále nad řekou Smědá v Jizerských horách patří k nejvýznamnějším památkovým celkům v Česku.
Hrad byl pro turisty zpřístupněn již roku 1801, čímž se stal prvním hradním muzeem ve střední Evropě. Kromě obvyklých sbírek zámeckého nábytku a vybavení je součástí expozice také sbírka zbraní a dýmek a také zámecká obrazárna. Památka je ve vlastnictví státu a je přístupná veřejnosti. Její správu zajišťuje Národní památkový ústav.
