Between the Verdun Gorge and the Côte d'Azur, at the foot of an impressive tuff rock, Cotignac's colorful facades give this artists' village a full character! I invite you to take a walk in this amazing village. Unfortunately, we did not visit the caves and troglodyte habitats. It was closed for lunch. But we got to the farmer's market and saw some interesting things and a small zoo. It will be interesting. Join us for a pleasant walk through a charming old French village. ❤️????️????
PROVENCE A village of character
Cotignac, a village of character with 2146 inhabitants, nestles at the foot of a huge tuff rock 400 meters long and 80 meters high. In the Quaternary era, the river La Cassole flowed over the rock. The current village was then only the base of this huge waterfall.
From the 1000s until the 19th century, this river was diverted and now passes east of the village and flows into the Argens. It is therefore the falls of this water that have formed all the crevices and the petrified waterfalls.
These caves have had various uses that have evolved over the centuries. Today, the Rock is the symbol of Cotignac and its history. We say here “Aquéu will no longer see Roco, é will be malérous”: That one will no longer see La Roche, and he will be unhappy.
Cotignac is a French commune located in the Var department, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Its inhabitants are called Cotignacéens. The old village has several monuments listed on the supplementary inventory of historical monuments1 and the number of its inhabitants have increased very strongly since 19682. It also has a very active craft industry. It is a place of Catholic pilgrimage for fathers and mothers and couples expecting children3,4. The town has two religious sanctuaries.

Gare de Tours is a railway station serving the city of Tours, Indre-et-Loire department, western France. It is situated on the Paris–Bordeaux railway, the Tours–Saint-Nazaire railway, and the non-electrified Tours–Le Mans railway. The Gare de Tours is a terminus; most TGV trains only serve the nearby Gare de Saint-Pierre-des-Corps.
On 28 December 1984, the railway station was classified as monument historique. The architect of the 1898 station was Victor Laloux, with four allegorical limestone statues of cities by Jean Antoine Injalbert (Bordeaux and Toulouse) and Jean-Baptiste Hugues (Limoges and Nantes).
The Tours train station is a railway station French on the territory of the town of Tours , in the department of Indre-et-Loire , in region Center Loire Valley. The station is operated by the National Society of French Railways (SNCF). It is served by the TGV , Intercity trains and regional express trains (TER). Nevertheless, its situation as a terminal station necessitating a turnaround has caused it to lose traffic on certain trains that stop only at the Saint-Pierre-des-Corps station . Travelers have the option to easily reach either station by a rail shuttle which has also become an urban means of transportation.
Established in impasse 49 meters above sea level, Tours station is at the origin of the line of Tours at Saint-Nazaire , located at kilometric point (PK) 235,720, and the line of Tours at Le Mans . Not located on the line from Paris-Austerlitz to Bordeaux-Saint-Jean , the train station of Tours is connected to it by two connections: the connection of Saint-Pierre-des-Corps to Tours towards Paris- Austerlitz and the connection from Tours to Monts (bifurcation of Bordeaux) towards Bordeaux-Saint-Jean . The train station of Tours is at PK 235,763 of the latter.
Until May 5, 1970, it was the terminus station of the Sables-d'Olonne line in Tours whose route of the terminal part was abandoned from the Joué-lès-Tours station , in favor of a connection created between this last station and the line from Paris-Austerlitz to Bordeaux-Saint-Jean , south of Tours.
The first station towards Saint-Nazaire is Saint-Genouph . In the direction of Le Mans, the first station opened is La Membrolle-sur-Choisille , separated by the now closed Fondettes - Saint-Cyr . In the direction of Paris-Austerlitz, the first station is that of Saint-Pierre-des-Corps and towards Bordeaux-Saint-Jean, that of Monts .

La Loire à vélo (Paris - Nantes via Orléans)
Mon premier bikepacking au départ de Paris (Massy).
J'ai rejoint l'itinéraire de la Loire à vélo à partir d'Orléans. Cet itinéraire est très bien balisé et garantie au moins 80% du trajet sur piste cyclables donc sans circulation.
J'ai planifié la totalité du trajet sur komoot (premium).
Mon vélo est un Triban RC100 (je n'ai changé que les pneus), j'ai filmé avec mon téléphone personnel, les deux sacoches sont de la marque Apidura. J'avais prévu quelques chambres à air de rechange et de quoi les changer, pensez (contrairement à moi) à prendre un stick à lèvres ainsi que de la crème solaire !
Les étapes étaient donc Massy, Orléans, Blois, Fondettes, Fontevraud, Ingrandes et Nantes (où j'ai pris un train pour rentrer sur Paris, des options parfois payantes existent dans les compagnies ferroviaires pour le vélo). Pour un total de 475 km et seulement 1740 m de dénivelé positif.
Le but de cette vidéo est simplement de partager mon expérience, divertir et peut-être vous donner l'envie de tester le cyclotourisme.
