At a lot of these flea markets, people are selling their private guns, especially rifles, as well as knives, bows, ammunition, and all sorts of other things.

Asheville is located at the confluence of the French Broad and Swannanoa Rivers. Asheville estimated population was 92,870 by 2019 estimates and was up from 83,393 from 2010. Asheville's motto is Quality of Service, Quality of Life

In 1793 , the area known as Asheville today was known as Morristown. The town was renamed 4 years later in 1797 to Asheville after North Carolina Governor Samuel Ashe.


Boone , North Carolina - home of the Appalachian State Mountaineers.

Boone , NC is a town in the (High Country) North Carolina Mountains - north of Blowing Rock. This picturesque town nestled in the mountains have an population little less than 20,000 residents and is listed as the 48th largest city in North Carolina.

The town was named after the famous pioneer and explorer Daniel Boone. The town is closed to the Blue Ridge Parkway and is a popular stop along the way. The town has many visitors in each season but especially in the fall to see the fall colors or enjoy a football game at Appalachian State University.


Hendersonville , NC is a popular & beautiful city south of Asheville, North Carolina. Hendersonville, the county seat for Henderson County, is a popular city where a lot of people love to vacation just 22 miles from Asheville. With a population of little over 14,000 - the city has a lot to offer and still have that small town feel!

Hendersonville was formed in 1838 and was named after the North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Leonard Henderson who served on the court from 1829 to 1833. Before being named Hendersonville - the area was known as The City of Four Seasons.

Hendersonville largest street festival is the annual North Carolina Apple Festival with a Apple Parade which draws over 50,000 spectators each year.


Waynesville, North Carolina is the county seat for Haywood County and is the largest in the county and west of Asheville in North Carolina. The City is located between the Great Smokey and Blue Ridge Mountains. Waynesville was founded in 1810 by Colonel Robert Love, a Revolutionary War solider. He donated land for the courthouse, jail, and public square and named the town after his former commander in the war , General Mad Anthony Wayne.


Fletcher, North Carolina is a town in Henderson County. Fletcher is adjacent to the Asheville Regional Airport and is within the Asheville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fletcher is named after Dr. George Fletcher who was the local postmaster in 1886.


Black Mountain - a beautiful town on the southern end of the Black Mountain Range. The small town of less than 8,000 residents is part of the Asheville Metropolitan Area.

The town is named for the train stop at the Black Mountain Depot and was incorporated in 1893.


Brevard, North Carolina is the county seat of Transylvania County - known as the Land of the Waterfalls! Brevard is located at the entrance to the Pisgah National Forest. Brevard is named after Colonel Ephraim Brevard MD, a reputed Revolutionary War Veteran.


Mills River, North Carolina is an town in Henderson County. The City is named for the tributary to the French Broad River - Mills River.


Woodfin, North Carolina is a town in Buncombe County and is part of the Asheville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town is named for Nicholas Washington Woodfin , a renowned lawyer and statesman of the early North Carolina in which Governor Vance clerked as attorney. The town was incorporated in 1971 and lies next to the French Broad River.

Canton, North Carolina is a city in Haywood County and is the second largest city in the county. Located 17 miles west of Asheville , the city is included in Asheville's Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The City is named after the City of Canton, Ohio. Canton was founded in 1889 as Buford, NC. Later that same year it was changed to Vinson. Then 1891 it was changed to Pigeon Ford and then last in 1893 to the current name Canton. It's noted that it is the source of the steel for the bridge that was built across the Pigeon River.
