Hotel La Residence in Narbonne France room tour
Hotel La Residence in Narbonne, France. This was filmed in October 2022.
A normal hotel room with a double bed and ensuite, BUT it came with a mini-fridge (actually a mini bar) which meant I could store cheese and other snacks. Very pretty building with a lovely shared lounge, and friendly staff to boot. Centrally located– the tourist office is down the street and all the tourist stuff is within a 20 min radius– and a quiet neighborhood overall. About 10 minutes walking from the train station in a fairly straight shot.

Hotel Review: Mercure Royal Limousin, Limoges, Haute-Vienne, Limousin, France- October 2015
I stayed at the Mercure Royal Limousin in Limoges in October, 2015. Two of us stayed for three nights bed and breakfast in a Superior Double Room with Balcony overlooking the Place de la Republique and paid a total price of £245.77 (€338), booked via Booking.com .
The hotel is very centrally located on Place de la Republique in Limoges city centre. Location wise it was great for getting around the city, which was all walkable. There are no trams in Limoges, but there is a bus and trolleybus system.
We flew to Limoges, and a taxi to the hotel cost 24 Euro (there is no public transport option). The return journey to the Airport cost 32 Euro as the Sunday fares are more expensive.
The room was large and very comfortable with a good king-sized bed, ample pillows, two chairs, coffee table, desk and chair, wardrobe, safe, hairdryer and a welcome bag containing a packed lunch (snack) for two - this was a really nice touch.
The bathroom was a shower bath arrangement, which required climbing over, so not particularly accessible, and the toilet was in a separate cubicle within the bathroom. There were complimentary soaps, moisturiser, shower gel, shower cap and sewing kit.
The balcony had a basic table and two chairs, but was lovely for getting some later afternoon sun.
The bedroom also had external metal shutters operated by two switches on the wall inside the bedroom. The room was also fully air conditioned, which could also work as a heater if required.
The staff at the hotel mostly spoke very good English, although in France they do like you to try and speak a little of their language (which I did), and I think that this is appreciated by them.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and would certainly consider staying their again in future.
