Milan, a wealthy, bustling city in Italy's northern Lombardy region, known globally for its fashion and design.
After being a talent agent and working in the fashion world, I always wanted to come to Milan for this reason.
So, when I found an amazing flight on an Italian airline ( Neos Air) making a new transatlantic flight from JFK airport direct to Milan Malpensa airport, I knew that it was time for a visit to Italy.
Now Milan is a fantastic place to start a trip or be a home base because it is within 2.5 hrs on the train to so many locations, and we took full advantage of that so, our stay in Milan was very much of a chill trip, because we knew that this would not be our last time to Milan.

Malpensa Airport Milano centrale
The Malpensa Express is an airport rail service linking the city of Milan with Malpensa Airport, in the region of Lombardy, Northern Italy.
Trenord operates Malpensa Express services between Malpensa Airport and both Milan Cadorna and Milan Central stations.
Launched on 30 May 1999, the Malpensa Express originally ran between Malpensa Aeroporto and Milan Cadorna stations only. It was operated initially by Ferrovie Nord Milano and later by Trenitalia subsidiary LeNORD.
In late 2010, airport rail services to and from Malpensa were reorganised. Malpensa Express services to and from Milan Cadorna, operated by Trenord, continued to link the airport with the city. To coincide with the timetable change on 10 December 2010, however, new services to Milano Centrale were introduced.
In December 2016 a 3.4 kilometre extension of the line from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 opened.The new Malpensa Terminal 2 railway station is 200 metres north of the T2 arrivals hall, that is accessed by an outdoor covered walkway.
There are two kind of train services linking Milano Centrale to Malpensa Airport. One service (MXP) calls at Milano Porta Garibaldi (a station more often used than Centrale by commuters around the city), Milano Bovisa, Saronno and Busto Arsizio Nord; the other service ( R ) call at Milano Porta Garibaldi, Milano Bovisa, Saronno, Rescaldina, Castellanza, Busto Arsizio Nord and Ferno-Lonate Pozzolo. The running times of both services (Milan Central to Malpensa Airport Terminal 2) is about 57 minutes; they both have 2' class.
At Milano Centrale station, the Malpensa Express departs usually from tracks 1 or 2, and heads along the new railway section nicknamed the Umbrella Handle; the Malpensa Express then passes through Mirabello junction to join the line from Greco Pirelli to Milano Porta Garibaldi station (west of Milano Centrale station).
At Porta Garibaldi station, the Malpensa Express uses the new route (to the north of the old one), which crosses Farini yard. It reaches PM Ghisolfa and leaves the RFI network to enter tracks 1 and 2 at Milano Bovisa station. The rest of the Malpensa Express route from Bovisa-Politenico station to Malpensa is the same as for its counterparts from Cadorna.
The use of above trains for journeys starting or ending in Malpensa Airport Stations is allowed with a special price ticket,but is also possible a limited use with other kind of tickets usually valid for trains in Lombardia region.[9] Even the other rail service to Malpensa (TiLo S30) have a similar ticket limitation scheme for journeys starting or ending in Malpensa

Exploring the Sheraton Milan Malpensa Airport: Breakfast and Waiting for My Room
As a solo traveler, I'm always on the lookout for new experiences and adventures, and my recent stopover in Milan, Italy was no exception. I wanted to make the most of my limited time in this new city, so I made it a priority to recharge before venturing out to explore.
For me, these types of experiences are all about dipping my feet into new waters and deciding whether to come back and spend more time. I want to share my adventures with you all and guide you through this new age of travel that's becoming more mainstream.
What I love most about traveling is the opportunity to learn about new cultures and societies, and to compare and contrast them with my own. It's not just about spending money on seeing a new country or city - it's about gaining experiences and broadening your horizons.
As travelers, it's important to be respectful and keep an open mind. It's these qualities that allow us to embrace new cultures and societies and to truly appreciate the beauty and diversity of our world.
In this video, I share my experience waiting for my room to be cleaned at the Sheraton Milan Malpensa Airport hotel, and the unexpected invitation to attend their breakfast. The breakfast was held in a stunning open hall, with abundant natural light and greenery, and offered an impressive buffet of cold cuts, fruit, salad, pastries, and a variety of juices.
Despite the delay, this unexpected turn of events reminded me that even in the face of travel setbacks, there are always silver linings to be found. I hope this video inspires you to stay positive and open-minded on your own travel adventures.

La strada statale 336 dell'Aeroporto della Malpensa è una strada statale italiana che collega l'autostrada Milano-Varese presso Busto Arsizio con Varallo Pombia, passando per l'aeroporto di Milano-Malpensa da cui prende nome.
Il primo tratto della strada, avente caratteristiche di strada extraurbana principale, è parte della superstrada Malpensa 2000, che prosegue poi verso l'autostrada Torino-Milano con la denominazione di SS 336 dir.
La SS 336 ha origine nel territorio del comune di Busto Arsizio, collegando l'autostrada Milano-Varese all'uscita di Busto Arsizio al terminal 2 dell'aeroporto intercontinentale di Milano-Malpensa con un percorso a quattro corsie complessive su due carreggiate separate. A causa della mancanza della corsia d'emergenza, la velocità massima in questa tratta è limitata a 90 km/h, tranne in prossimità del terminal 2 dell'aeroporto dove, per la pericolosità del tracciato, si scende a 50 km/h.
Poco oltre il terminal 2 la SS 336 abbandona la superstrada, che prosegue verso sud come SS 336 dir, e prosegue verso nord come viabilità ordinaria a carreggiata unica. Dopo Somma Lombardo la strada prosegue verso ovest attraversando il Ticino e terminando infine a Varallo Pombia, dove si immette sulla strada statale 32 Ticinese.
L'Aeroporto di Milano-Malpensa (IATA: MXP, ICAO: LIMC) è un aeroporto intercontinentale[3] italiano situato nei comuni di Somma Lombardo (Terminal 2), Ferno (Terminal 1) e Lonate Pozzolo (parte del sedime aeroportuale) in provincia di Varese, nel cosiddetto Altomilanese; è il principale aeroporto di riferimento di Milano. È gestito dalla Società Esercizi Aeroportuali (SEA).
