REPUBLIKA SAN MARINO - uważa się za najstarszą republikę świata, utworzoną w 301 roku przez utalentowanego chrześcijańskiego budowniczego, kamieniarza (inni podają, iż był kowalem) zwanego Świętym Marinusem. Gdy uciekał przed prześladowcą chrześcijan -- cesarzem rzymskim Dioklecjanem, ukrył się na szczycie Monte Titano (najwyższe z siedmiu wzgórz San Marino) i tam założył małą wspólnotę chrześcijańską. Właścicielka ziemi, pani Rimini zapisała ją w testamencie wspólnocie chrześcijańskiej. Jest pewnym, że okolice były zamieszkane od czasów prehistorycznych, chociaż ślady bytności na Monte Titano sięgają jedynie średniowiecza. Na pamiątkę kamieniarza, ziemię nazwano Ziemią San Marino, by w końcu zmienić ją na nazwę, którą ma do dziś: Republika San Marino. W wieku lombardzkim San Marino było lennem książąt Spoleto, ale wolna wspólnota sięga aż do X w. Pierwotna struktura rządu była złożona z samorządowego zgromadzenia zwanego Arengo, które składało się z głowy każdej rodziny. W 1243 po raz pierwszy mianowano dwóch Kapitanów Regentów (Capitani Reggenti) sprawujących władzę. Do dzisiaj, co 6 miesięcy, zmieniają się osoby sprawujące regencję. Pierwsze prawo na kształt konstytucji republiki powstało w roku 1263. Stolica Apostolska potwierdziła niezależność San Marino w 1291. Obszar San Marino składał się jedynie z Monte Titano do 1463, kiedy to republika przystąpiła do sojuszu przeciwko Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, Panu Rimini, którego później pokonano. W rezultacie tych wydarzeń papież Pius II nadał San Marino miasta: Fiorentino, Montegiardino, i Serravalle. Trochę później, w tym samym roku, miasto Faetano przyłączyło się do republiki z własnej woli. Od tego czasu obszar San Marino pozostał niezmieniony. W 1503 Cesare Borgia, znany jako Valentino, okupuje republikę do swojej śmierci, która następuje kilka miesięcy później. 8 października 1600 San Marino przyjęło pisaną konstytucję. Diese Tour ist eine von denen, die man sich keinesfalls entgehen lassen sollte.
Die Straße, die Pesaro mit Gabicce Monte verbindet, fasziniert durch ihre traumhafte Landschaft mit Hügeln und steil zum adriatischen Meer abfallenden Felsen, auf wenig befahrenen Straßen und mit vergnüglichen Aufs und Abs.
Die Talfahrt vom Monte Titano erfolgt über Murata und Fiorentino, ein ziemlich technischer Abschnitt, der sich durch die grüne Landschaft schlängelt, bis wir in der Ortschaft Mercatino Conca das Concatal erreichen, wo wir dem Talboden des Conca-Flusses folgen, der auf Höhe von Porto Verde in die Adria mündet und entlang seiner Strecke viele künstlich angelegte Kanäle speist, die entlang des Flusses verlaufen und zum Bewässern der Felder und zur Versorgung der Mühlen benutzt wurden, die bis zum letzten Jahrhundert das Standbein der lokalen Wirtschaft darstellten …
In Morciano di Romagna angekommen, eine Gemeinde, die dem Anschein nach in der Römerzeit gegründet wurde, entfernen wir uns vom Lauf des Conca und wenden uns Richtung Pesaro. Die Tour führt uns durch die grünen Hügel des Gebietes San Giovanni in Marignano, ein kleines mittelalterliches Dorf, das wegen der Fruchtbarkeit seines Bodens als „Kornkammer” der Malatesta galt.
Von hier geht es weiter Richtung Meer. Bevor wir die Küste erreichen, biegen wir auf die Staatsstraße Statale Adriatica ein, die am Meer entlang bis Otranto führt, unsere Fahrt geht jedoch weiter bis Pesaro.
Kurz bevor wir den Hauptort der Provinz erreichen, zweitdichtest besiedelte Gemeinde der Marken und wichtiger Handelshafen, nehmen wir den ersten kurzen Angriff des Tages in Angriff: die Siligata. Oben angekommen geht es auf einer kurzen Talfahrt Richtung Pesaro, um uns dann zum Hafen zu begeben, wo wir die Straße einschlagen, die uns nach knapp 20 km nach Gabicce Monte bringt und in Kürze zeigen wird, woher dieser Ort seinen Namen hat.
Die Strecke, ein pures Vergnügen für uns Radfahrer, ist ein kontinuierliches Auf und Ab ohne einen wirklich flachen Teil, aber auch ohne allzu anstrengende Anstiege und mit sanften Kehren.
Die Straße ist ziemlich breit und wenig befahren und führt uns in den Naturpark des Monte San Bartolo, ein unberührtes, 1.600 Hektar großes Gebiet und 200 m Höhe, das die Küste der Marken umsäumt, wo sich Park und Meer umarmen und natürliche Steilhänge mit spektakulären Ausblicken entstehen lassen.
Entlang der Aufs und Abs gibt es immer wieder Aussichtsplätze, um ein Erinnerungsfoto mit dem Meer im Hintergrund zu schießen, und Orte wie Fiorenzuola di Focara, um im Schatten Rast zu machen, sich in der Bar zu stärken und die Flaschen am Trinkbrunnen aufzufüllen. In Gabicce Monte angekommen geht es wieder hinunter Richtung Strandlinie, die ab Cattolica das Aussehen der flach abfallenden Sandküsten annimmt, die die romagnolische Riviera kennzeichnen.
Weiter geht es auf der Strandpromenade durch berühmte Badeorte wie Misano Adriatico und Riccione. Bevor wir das Zentrum von Rimini erreichen, treten wir auf Höhe von Bellariva die Rückfahrt an, vorbei an Gaiofano und Ospedaletto Richtung Republik San Marino, ein schöner flacher Abschnitt mitten im Grünen entlang des Flusses Marano.
Hinter der Staatsgrenze geht es wieder über die Burg Faetano auf den Monte Titano, wobei es dazu zwei Varianten gibt, eine davon ist anspruchsvoller und für die Bergfahrer gedacht, die nochmals in die Pedale treten wollen.

Dritte Etappe von Tag 3 unserer Ostertour
Mit vollen Tanks steuerten wir Thiene LIDH an. Für Asiago war es leider schon zu spät. Asiago LIDA schließt um 19 Uhr. Außerdem sah das Wetter dort nicht gut aus. Nach mehreren Telefonate kamen wir im Hotel Ariane unter. Direkt daneben ist das Ristorante Pizzeria Ai Cappuccini, wo wir eine besonders gute Pizza aßen. Unser 3,5 km langer Fußmarsch (es war schwierig, ein Taxi zu bekommen) hatte sich also gelohnt. Für den nächsten Morgen sagte uns das Hotel aber einen kostenlosen Shuttle zum Flugplatz zu.

Eccomi qua! Ieri non ce l'ho fatta ad aggiornare il blog, il primo giorno senza trasmissione è sempre un po' straniante, come quando si torna da un lungo viaggio e bisogna recuperare il vecchio fuso orario. Ecco, ero un po' fuso, mettiamola così. Fuso e confuso. Leggevo i giornali e mi facevo gli appunti sulle cose da dire, poi mi ricordavo che il programma è in vacanza e mi sentivo un cretino. Però vi da l'idea di quanto sia importante per me. Allora mi sono sfogato rompendo le scatole a Federico e Marisa, cosa che credo farò anche questa mattina.
Già che ci sono vi lascio una cosa che ho fatto qualche giorno fa in collaborazione con la Provincia di Rimini. Era il giorno più caldo della storia, l'ultimo sabato di giugno, e mi sono fatto convincere ad andare in bici a San Leo, dove Umberto Eco inaugurava una bellissima mostra di cui avevo parlato per radio. Il video è il documento di quella mattinata, vi avviso che fa venire caldo solo a guardarlo. Insieme trovate anche una serie di link per scaricare qualche bel percorso da fare nel caso veniate a pedalare da queste parti. Me l'hanno chiesto in tanti e da bravo soldatino ho fatto il mio compitino. Alla prossima!.
