It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. Eustis High School is the town's local public high school.
The City of Eustis holds a festival every year which begins on the last Friday of February and runs through Sunday and has been held since 1902. This festival, referred to simply as GeorgeFest, is recognized today as the second longest ongoing annual event held in honor of George Washington, first President of the United States.

We have several towns we love going to and walking around the downtown area, so we thought we would show another one of our favorites. We do a complete walking tour of the historic downtown Eustis, Florida. There is so much to do there and they usually have some sort of festival going on. Eustis is also in a great location and is centrally located and the downtown is basically right on Lake Eustis. We have gone to the George Fest and watched a concert at the amphitheater in Downtown Eustis and loved it! They also have a lot of restaurants that you can go to in Downtown.
