Tolmie Peak | Mount Rainier National Park | Eunice Lake
Tolmie Peak outlook is arguably one of the best vantage points of Mount Rainier within the Park. It is a short (just shy) of 6 miles roundtrip from the trail-head. Be ready for a 30-40 minute drive on gravel once in the park, but the drive is worth it. There are two lakes, a decent amount of elevation and the views are spectacular. Bring bug spray!

Mount Rainier National Park, located on the west coast in Washington, is home to the famous active volcano and most glaciated peak in the US. Ascending 14,410 feet above sea level, Mt. Rainier is surrounded by campgrounds, hiking trails, and natural beauty. I went on my first ever camping trip at Mowich Lake, hiked the Wonderland Trail to Eunice Lake and Tolmey Peak to get a (somewhat) nice view of Mt. Rainier (wildfire haze is real...). Here's our amazing, dream-like adventure: 24 hours in Mt. Rainier National Park!

TOLMIE PEAK LOOKOUT HIKE | A Guide for Mount Rainier's Best Day Hike
The Tolmie Peak Lookout hike is arguably the best day hike in Mount Rainier National Park. Not only is it short and gradual, but it also offers some of the best views in all of Mount Rainier National Park. In this video, we'll show you the route overview as well as the views along the trail. What makes this hike so special? You'll encounter two lakes along the tolmie peak lookout hike: Mowich lake, where the hike starts, and Eunice lake, which is located near the end of the trail. You'll also find a fire lookout on the top of tolmie peak. This fire lookout is one of the few that is left in Mount Rainier National Park. The two-story structure houses a lookout station on the upper level and storage at ground level. Today, this fire lookout is still occasionally used! With the sapphire blue Eunice lake and Mount Rainier in the backdrop, the view from the fire lookout and tolmie peak itself is one of the finest you'll encounter in the park. Enjoy the tolmie peak lookout trail hike!
