In today's walk, I take you around the little town of Ennis, MT on a virtual walk on sunny winter day. In the summer, Ennis hums with activity. People visiting Yellowstone National Park pass through and there are tons of Fisherman looking hook some trout in the Madison River. It's one of Montana's blue ribbon trout streams. It's a quiet Sunday morning as we walk through town. The wind blows a bit but not too badly. The main street has great restaurants, fly shops, museums, and other great places as well as a couple of parks. There are hotels and vacation rentals on either side of town and beyond. Just about an hour from Bozeman and West Yellowstone, Ennis has a wondefully quiet small town feel. The mountains rise up in the distance and the snowy peaks display the wildness and ruggedness of the area.

Ennis is a town in Madison County, Montana, United States, in the southwestern part of the state. The population was 838 at the 2010 census.
In 1863, gold was discovered in Alder Gulch. This brought on the rush. Two months later, William Ennis homesteaded the site along the Madison River that was soon to become the town of Ennis, his namesake.
In 1886, a mystery creature was noted for making livestock kills in the Madison Valley. A local rancher, Israel Ammon Hutchins, finally shot and killed the beast, after accidentally shooting one of his cattle, which was on the other side of some brush. A local taxidermist stuffed the canine. Jack Kirby (Hutchins' Grandson) tracked the mount to a Museum in Pocatello, Idaho, circa 2007.
The 2003 Ennis shooting took place on June 14 of that year, when 44-year-old George Harold Davis opened fire outside the Silver Dollar Saloon bar on Main Street. He killed one man and injured six others. He then fled to Missoula County, where he was finally stopped and arrested by police. He was sentenced to eleven life terms for the crime..
The Thexton Ranch is located approximately 7 miles (11 km) south of Ennis, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
U.S. Route 287 runs through town, following the Madison River as it descends from the town of West Yellowstone.

10 Best Things to Do in Enid, Oklahoma
Enid is located in the U.S. State of Oklahoma. The population is just under 50,000. The city was founded during the opening of the Cherokee Outlet in the Land Run of 1893. It is named after the character Alfred, Lord Tennyson‘s Idylls of the King. Enid is known as “Queen Wheat City” and “Wheat Capital” of Oklahoma and the US. It is due to the immense storage of grain in the city. It even holds the third largest grain storage capacity in the world. Ennis Bluebonnet Trail and Festival
It's #april and April is #bluebonnet month in #texas. One of the more famous activities in the north-central area of the state is the annual #ennis bluebonnet trail and festival.
I attended last year and shot a detailed video for those who may be interested in attending. I suspect this year and subsequent year's festivals will be even larger and more impressive.
You definitely want to arrive early and there is a large Buc-ee's in Ennis, so there are good stops on the way in and out of the city.

The Go Pro was helmet-mounted and all Go Pro clips in the video are in timewarp mode. It was quite the challenge keeping my head oriented in the right direction and walking in a consistent manner to get the best shots.
