Aparte del origen cristiano de la Navidad, esta fiesta ha ido mezclando su carácter religioso con la tradición de convivencia familiar, debido en gran medida a la popularidad de esta celebración y a la mercadotecnia.
Es desde el siglo XIX cuando la Navidad empieza a afianzarse con el carácter que tiene hoy día, pues en ese siglo se popularizó la costumbre del intercambio de regalos; se creó a Santa Claus y regalar tarjetas de Navidad. Perpignan est le centre d'une ancienne province, le Roussillon, organisée autour d'une plaine agricole. Elle se situe dans un environnement privilégié: le littoral méditerranéen de roche et de plage d'une part, et les montagnes,Pays de lumière et de Tramontane, Perpignan bénéficie d'influences méditerranéennes avec environ 300 jours d'ensoleillement par an. Perpignan est la préfecture du département des Pyrénées Orientales,Perpignan connaît son âge d'or avec le «Royaume de Majorque », de 1276 à 1344, période pendant laquelle la ville a été la capitale continentale d'un état méditerranéen et en partie insulaire. La ville royale se couvre alors d'une architecture et d'une décoration gothique, de collégiales; sa prospérité commerciale s'exporte dans tout le bassin méditerranéen. Les monuments majeurs de Perpignan témoignent de cette époque fastueuse: le Palais des Rois de Mallorca, la Cathédrale, le Campo Santo, l'Hôtel de Ville, les églises. C'est pour Perpignan une période clef qui fonde la fierté et l'indépendance de la ville.La Cathédrale de Perpignan, dédiée à St Jean Baptiste, est devenue le siège de l'évêché sur le tard, en 1601 exactement. Elle a remplacé dans ce rôle la cathédrale Ste Eulalie et Ste Julie d'Elne.
La cathédrale
Elle fut commencée sous les rois de Majorque en 1324 sur un plan gothique à trois nefs. Sur le côté gauche, le troisième poteau porte l'inscription suivante : Première pierre que notre très illustre seigneur, Sanche, roi de Majorque, a posée dans les fondements de cette église le 5 des calendes de mai, l'an du seigneur 1324. Ce grand roi est décédé l'année 1324, celle là même où commençait la construction de son futur chef d'œuvre.
Le palais des rois de Majorque est né de la volonté de Jacques II qui désirait une demeure dans sa capitale continentale. En effet depuis 1276 le royaume de Majorque fut créé sur une partie du royaume d'Aragon, exactement en prenant les îles Baléares, la ville de Montpellier et le Roussillon et la Cerdagne.
Le château fut commencé avant 1274, c'est à dire deux ans avant le décès de Jacques 1er, évènement qui marqua officiellement la séparation des deux royaumes. Sa construction se déroula sur 35 ans, la fin étant marquée par la consécration des chapelles en 1309.
Le maître d'œuvre au lancement de la construction était Ramon Pau, il fut suivi par Pons Descoy. Ceux-ci choisirent le style gothique, caractérisé par des grandes arches. Les murs sont en galets de rivière et en briques liés au mortier, le tout enduit de chaux et peints. La pierre de taille a été largement utilisée pour tout ce qui est anguleux : Portes, fenêtres, angles des murs, escaliers, et surtout les tours. On choisit à l'époque un peu tout les marbres disponibles dans la région

Perpignan is a southern French city near the Mediterranean coast and the border with Spain. It was the capital of the Kingdom of Majorca during the 13th century, and a significant Catalan influence is evident in its medieval core. South of the old town, the huge Gothic-and-Romanesque Palace of the Kings of Majorca has ramparts with views to the coast.
Framed by the peaks of the Pyrenees 13km west of the Mediterranean coastline and just 38km north of the Spanish border, Perpignan radiates out from the tight knot of the old town's warren of alleys, palm-shaded squares and shabby tenements painted in shades of lemon, peach and tangerine. Historically, Perpignan (Perpinyà in Catalan) was capital of the kingdom of Mallorca, a Mediterranean power that stretched northwards as far as Montpellier and included all the Balearic Islands; the Mallorcan kings’ palace still stands guard at the southern end of the old town. Its proximity to Spain means the town is strong on fiestas.
Perpignan (Perpinyà in catalan) is the capital of the department of Pyrénées-Orientales, the Northern Catalonia part of France and is situated about 15km from the sea. Perpignan is home to about 117 000 people, and has two rivers flowing through it; with the Têt to the north, and the Basse through the centre.
The main way to get around in Perpignan (due to its relatively small size) is by foot, but there are buses run by Compagnie Transports that go right through the city centre, and then further out, even going as far as Cabestany and Canet. Driving is also a good way to get about, with lots of underground parking in the city centre, but beware, during the summer and 'tourist season' there will be a lot of traffic, and few parking places left.
The Cathedral of St Jean Baptiste was begun in 1324 and finished in 1509. From the outside unimpressive but inside a formidable construction in the typical south French gothic style. Alot to see in ( Perpignan - France ) such as :

Voyage en cabine : entre mer et montagne, de Portbou à Béziers
Direction la frontière Espagnole pour ce Cabride avec un nouveau trajet au départ du triage de Portbou (ES). Il s'agit de récupérer une rame de wagons de transport combiné du client Lineas à destination du port d'Anvers (BE). Les conteneurs en provenance de Tarragona (ES) ont été acheminés sur des wagons espagnols à écartement large (1668mm) puis transbordés sur des wagons à écartement UIC (1435mm) dans le chantier de Portbou afin d'effectuer le reste du trajet.
Le départ s'effectue à 7h30, pour un passage en gare de Béziers aux alentours de 9h.
Après le passage du tunnel des Balitres, marquant la frontière entre l'Espagne et la France, et un bref arrêt obligatoire en gare de Cerbère, nous longeons ensuite la mer au pied des Pyrénées en empruntant de nombreux tunnels.
Passée la gare de Perpignan, c'est ensuite la traversée des étangs de Leucate et de Port la Nouvelle qui rythmeront la suite du parcours, sous une météo plutôt maussade pour la région.
Petite nouveauté dans l'indication de vitesse (Vmax). Il s'agit de la vitesse maximum sur la ligne pour la catégorie de train MA100 (train de marchandises limités à 100km/h).
Pour une transition de vitesse croissante, l'indication dégagement 30 fait référence à la distance que nous devons parcourir pour que l'ensemble de la rame ait dégagé la zone de vitesse supérieure.
Pour une transition de vitesse décroissante, l'indication annonce 60 est présentée entre la signalisation d'annonce de ralentissement et le début de la zone à parcourir à la vitesse inférieure.

Head to the Spanish border for this Cabride with a new route departing from the Portbou (ES) yard. This involves recovering a train of combined transport wagons from the client Lineas bound for the port of Antwerp (BE). The containers coming from Tarragona (ES) were transported on wide gauge Spanish wagons (1668mm) then transferred to UIC gauge wagons (1435mm) in the Portbou yard in order to complete the rest of the journey.
Departure is at 7:30 a.m., for a stop at Béziers station around 9 a.m.
After passing through the Balitres tunnel, marking the border between Spain and France, and a brief obligatory stop at Cerbère station, we then follow the sea at the foot of the Pyrenees through numerous tunnels.
After Perpignan station, it is then the crossing of the ponds of Leucate and Port la Nouvelle which will punctuate the rest of the route, under rather gloomy weather for the region.
Small novelty in the speed indication (Vmax). This is the maximum speed on the line for train category MA100 (freight train limited to 100km/h).
For an increasing speed transition, the indication dégagement 30 refers to the distance we must travel for the entire train to have cleared the higher speed zone.
For a transition in decreasing speed, the indication annonce 60 is presented between the slowdown announcement signaling and the start of the zone to be traveled at the lower speed.

Nah, ceritanya saya berangkat dari Belanda naik bis malam. Perjalanan waktu itu naik bis malam yaitu Flixbus. Flixbus adalah bus umum dengan tarif relatife murah. Transportasi ini ideal, buat para backpacker yang ingin menyusuri negara-negara Eropa dengan bis malam.

Kini saatnya mengunjungi Eguisheim. Eguisheim adalah sebuah desa yang menyenangkan, lokasinya terletak sekitar 7 kilometer dari Colmar. Desa Eguisheim memiliki lorong-lorong ramping dan kota tuanya di pagari dengan banyak rumah-rumah setengah kayu yang sangat di lestarikan.
4. KAYSERSBERG
Kota indah INI masih berada di jalur ladang anggur. Jadi kalau ke kota ini teman akan di kejutkan dengan indahnya bunga-bunga di ladang anggur.
5. RIBEAUVILLÉ
Saatnya menuju Ribeauvillé. Kota Ribeauvillé yang selalu di ramaikan oleh wisatawan baik wisatawan lokal maupun wisatawan asing. Pariwisata kota ini bergerak cepat kabarnya karena sejarah kota, festival dan pesta natal yang rutin diselenggarakan oleh kota Ribeauvillé.
6. RIQUEWHIR
INI ADALAH Tempat wisata terkahir ke-6. Tempat wisata SANGAT populer karena sejarah arsitektur nya, juga terkenal dengan produksi anggurnya, yaitu Riesling. Desa ini juga salah satu yang memiliki julukan salah satu Desa Terindah di Prancis. Banyak wisatawan asal Jepang yang datang berkunjung ke desa indah ini.
