Ithaca is the largest city in New York's Finger Lakes region. It is a beautiful, lively place to visit with a lot going for it. Set in a beautiful place at the southern tip of Cayuga Lake, it is known for being home to Cornell University and Ithaca College, both of which are in the Ivy League, as well as for the over 150 waterfalls and dozens of gorges that dot the area.

Home to cities like Binghamton and Jamestown and such tourist destinations as the corning museum of glass and the national comedy center, the southern tier is well worth exploring.
