AUSTRIA is a country that is well known. With so many popular places to visit we decided to explore the less-travelled side of Austria. ⇩⇩Click ‘show more’⇩⇩
Being full-time travellers we prefer to SKIP THE TOURIST HOTSPOTS sometimes. In this video, you will see me travel to two very unusual, NON-TOURISTY towns in Austria.
All of the places we visit in this video was recommended to us by our homeowners that we are housesitting for. The first town that we visit is called Pöllauberg (Styria province). It is a small township with only 2,200 inhabitants. This place had us in AWE of its beautiful churches. They are definitely a MUST SEE if you are looking for something different here in Austria. *The second church was our favourite.
Next up we visited a town called Güssing as it is famous for having a majestic castle on a hill, named Burg. Originally the castle was established by Béla the third, the king of Hungary and Croatia at the time, and it is the OLDEST CASTLE in the Burgenland province today.
