Best places to visit in New Hampshire for Fall Colors in 2023 (New England fall foliage)

In this video we will take to the best places to visit in New Hampshire for fall colors. We drove from Conway to Lincoln on the 35 mile scenic Kancamagus Highway which cuts through the White Mountains National Forest and provides one of the best fall foliage views in the country. We visited in the 1st week of October exploring New England for fall foliage.

❤️Check out our latest blog on New Hampshire Fall Foliage for a detailed description :-

Here are the list of viewpoints and overlooks on the Kancamagus Highway

????Albany Covered Bridge
Our first stop was Albany Covered bridge located on the swift river. Surrounded by beautiful fall colors, this wooden bridge has always been a photographers delight.

????Rocky gorge scenic area
Picturesque Rocky gorge is carved by glaciers and has streams of water gushing through the narrow gorge. There is a footbridge also where you can walk and enjoy the views.

????????‍♀️Sabbaday Falls
Sabbaday falls is one of the most visited waterfalls in New Hampshire and a popular stop along the Kancamagus Highway. A short hike takes you to the edge of the waterfall via a gravel path followed by a stone staircase.

We also made a brief stops along the way at various overlooks such as Sugar Hill Overlook, Pemigewasset Overlook, CL Graham Wangan Overlook and Hancock Scenic Overlook. Pemigewasset Overlook is a scenic overlook on the Kancamagus Highway with views of Osceola mountains

????????‍♀️Hancock Scenic Overlook
Located at the hair pin turn, Hancock scenic overlook is a spot from where you can see the majestic Osceola range and enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage views.

????Lincoln
We stopped at Lincoln to grab dinner. There is no service on the 35 mile stretch of Kancamagus highway so make sure you carry food and fuel your car before entering the highway.

????Artist bluff
We did a 1.5 mile loop trail called the Artist bluff which starts opposite to echo lake in Franconia notch state park.

????????‍♀️Flume Gorge
A stunning natural wonder in Franconia notch state park, the Flume gorge is a 2.2 mile easy scenic trail that take you to cascading waterfalls, historic covered bridges and much more. You need to reserve a ticket online in advance to visit this place.
Website Details

????????‍♀️Mt Washington Auto toll road
Next we drove the Mt Washington Auto toll road in Gorham NH. The 8 mile road offers stunning fall colors, breathtaking scenery and thrilling driving experience with twists and turns to the summit.

You can also ride mt Washington cog railway to reach the top of the mountain. Check below for the tickets:-

????Mt Willard
We ended our day hiking the Mt Willard, a 1.6 mile trail to the summit. We enjoyed the insane views at the top and clicked lots of pictures.

????????‍♀️Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway
New Hampshire's only Aerial Tramway brings visitors to the 4,080-foot summit of Cannon Mountain and is a popular destination for viewing fall colors.

Thank you so much for watching! ❤️

While countless historic sites litter the Bay State, it also has scenic spots such as Cape Cod for holidaymakers to enjoy. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Massachusetts:

5 Best Places To Live In Massachusetts

Massachusetts is one of the iconic places in the United States. According to some, Massachusetts is the birthplace of the country. At the same time, it is where the first European settlement was established--back in 1620. That particular event is quite significant, as New England today still represents the progressive direction that America is taking.

Close to the dawn of the 21st century, Massachusett had experienced dramatic improvement. It transformed into an art and technology beacon, which is now known as The Massachusetts Miracle.
