Spreewald which is also known as green Venice of Germany, is a German Biosphere reserve by UNESCO near Berlin. This place is perfect for kayaking, camping, hiking or cycling. It feels like entering a village that exits only in dreams. Spreewald is a devilish masterpiece to visit where the forest reflects in water. Its unique landscape, silence, fresh air, small canals, forests, ancient wooden houses, flower gardens are just breathtaking.

A fascinating online tour of Lubbenau.
Lübbenau is located in the center of the Spreewald and is the starting point for many canoe tours. On our 1st walk in Lübbenau, we visited the Lübbenau Castle Park and almost reached the Nicolaikirche, who are the patrons of the von Lienar dynasty.
Our 2nd walking tour through Lubbenau starts from the church of St. Nicholas, goes through the whole old town of Lubbenau and ends behind the ancient gate, which used to be part of the fortress wall!

Spreewald Boat Ride Germany 4K
The Spreewald is the natural river branch of the Spree, which has been significantly expanded by landscaped canals and touristic an absolute highlight in East Germany for recreation seekers and day trippers. From the ferry port in Lübbenau you can undertake a variety of barge tours. We decided to take a two-hour tour over the small town of Lehde. This time I had my Gopro with me and would like to briefly give a few impressions of the boat.

SIGHTGEIST - THE SAXONY MAGAZINE's Video Advent Calendar: Dec 05, 2021 - Rakotz Bridge in Kromlau
It was modelled after the nearby Muskau Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But the Kromlau Park has got something, that its bigger brother does not have. Its biggest draw is what is internationally often called the Devil’s Bridge. The real name is Rakotz Bridge. It is derived from the Slavic term “rak”, which means “crab”, with a “b” that is. But the arch is so delicate that people believed that only the devil could have built this bridge. It cost a lot of money, and the life of a worker. Maybe, this was the price to pay to the devil. Like other elements of the park, it is made of basalt. With the reflection in the Rakotz Lake added, a perfect circle is formed. Nobody is allowed to cross the bridge anymore, but it was erected mainly to enhance the park, anyway.

StarGate in Germany! Die Rakotzbrücke in Sachsen
Die Rakotzbrücke befindet sich im Kromlauer Park in Kromlau bei Gablenz, östlich von Bad Muskau. Die Rakotzbrücke wurde von 1863 bis 1882 aus Basaltsteinen errichtet, sie wird im Volksmund auch als Teufelsbrücke bezeichnet.
Videoaufnahmen erfolgten mit dem DJI Phantom 4 pro in 4K mit 50p und in D-Log! Bearbeitung mit AVID Mediacomposer unter Verwendung zweier LUTs von GroundControl (BMDFilm4K).
