Bukidnon is a paradise for anyone who has ever dreamed of retreating to the peace and quiet of the mountains. Taking its name after the term for highlander or mountain dweller, the landlocked province is surrounded by caves, rising peaks, and roaring rivers. This pastoral plateau is home to 7 indigenous groups, each named after the bodies of water near their initial dwelling places. These days, the province is known for its traditions and cultural, aesthetic, and artistic heritage, as well as nature trails and activities. These attractions can be seen and accessed year-round, but most of the adventure resorts and hotels in Bukidnon fill up with tourists during the Kaamulan Festival.

This is my first time vlogging in the Municipality of Don Carlos, Bukidnon featuring their newly renovated town plaza. It is nice to witness how happy their community are making good memories in their plaza. I believe that in 5-10 years time, this municipality will one of the most progressive municipality here in Bukidnon. Mabuhay ang Don Carlos!
On the other side, I am invited by the owner of RL BigBites to dine on their newly and sophisticated restaurant/snack house. This is my 2nd time in this place but now it is more conducive and more vibrant because it is spacious and it has 2nd floor already. The food they served are great and satisfying yet in affordable price. If you want to visit RL BigBites, it is located near Don Carlos plaza along the exit road of the said municipality.

This is one of the easiest hiking trails in Negros that offers breathtaking views for adrenaline junkies.
Also a popular mountain destination in Negros Occidental especially for beginners as this is just a walk in the park type of trail.
HOW TO GET THERE:
-At the South Bus Terminal Bacolod, take a bus bound for San Carlos City via Don Salvador Benedicto and tell the driver to drop you off at Sitio Punod. Fare is 170 Php. Travel time is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
-From Sitio Punod, take a habal habal going to Sitio Mayana where your local guide awaits. Fare is 150-200 Php per person for roundtrip. Guide fee is 300 Php and entrance fee is 50 Php per person.

Bali's Pool House information:
Location: Located 100 meters away from kudjawan Bridge, near spur 16, Brgy. Bunga Don Salvador Benedicto. You can locate them through Google maps.
With kitchen:
Bring or cook your food at their kitchen, no corkage fee with griller ( bring or buy charcoal for cooking) plates and spoons, pots and pans. Salt, sugar, provided. Just bring extra if you're a large group.
Suggested activities:
- enjoy the fresh spring water pool all day, all night exclusively.
- visit nearby DSB tourist spots
- dancing light
- card games provided
Things to prepare:
- Jacket, it gets really cold at night
- We are surrounded by forest with a running creek in between the property, off lotion for kids, our wall fans can ward off insects, our room has window screens to prevent insects from coming in.
Note:
The room has queen size bed and pull out foam, beddings is good for 5 persons only you may bring a tent, sleeping bag, or mat foam for extra persons, we have a large wood tatami as bed for extra persons. No extra charge.

Filipino travelers skip Sipaway Island for unknown reasons. When I went there, it made wonder why. With such beauty and laid-back island land, it could be a good choice for both staycation and adventure.
