To get from Bacalar, Mexico to Flores in Guatemala, I have to cross the Mexican-Belize border. This usually involves a tourist tax of roughly $25. Strangely enough, I was able to leave Mexico and enter Belize without paying. I advise not to pay the tax in advance but to wait until you leave the country.In the evening I reach Guatemala and explore in a boat the lake that lies around the peninsula of Flores.
