Red Fort
The Red Fort in the national capital, Delhi, has a rich history. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century. Shah Jahan wanted to shift the capital of the Mughal Empire from Agra to Delhi. To this extent, he wanted to build a fort in Delhi. The foundation stone for the fort was laid on May 12, 1639. The Red Fort was designed by Ahmed Lahor, who designed the Taj Mahal. The fusion of Islamic, Mughal, Parsi, and Hindu cultures is evident in this structure. Inside the fort are the Diwan-i-Aam Durbar, the Moti Masjid, the Diwan-i-Khas Mandapam built of marble, and a museum named Mumtaz Mahal.
Golconda Fort
Golconda Fort Nawabs' Fort is located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the state capital of Telangana. The Golconda region was initially ruled by Kakatiyas. At that time there was a mud fort. Over time the area was captured by the Bahmani Sultan Muhammad Shah. Along with the Bahmani emperors, the Golconda region became the capital of the Qutb Shahis between 1512–1687. The Golconda Fort was built by the Qutb Shahi dynasty on a 120-meter-high black stone hill as the kings needed a fort in the capital.
Gwalior Fort
Gwalior Fort is one of the oldest forts in India. It was built in the tenth century in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Many historians say that the fort was built before that. Although it is not clear who built it or when, history tells us that the Tomar, Mughal, Maratha, and Scindia emperors ruled from this Gwalior fort. The fort was also used as a prison during British rule.

There are many royal palaces and forts in Rajasthan. Prominent among them is the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur. It is known as the largest fort in the country. Covering an area of about 1,200 acres... It was built at a height of 122 meters. When Rao Jodha, the Rathod dynasty, became emperor, he left the Mandor fort built by his ancestors and designed the Mehrangarh Fort in the then Barchiria region.

Tourists queue up to see the beauty of the Junagadh Fort in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The fort was built by Raja Roy Singh, who ruled the kingdom of Bikaner from 1571 to 1612. The fort was built by Roy Singh with funds from the Mughal emperors and money from Jodhpur. It is one of the forts built on the ground rather than on the hill.
Kangra Fort
The fort is located in the hilly region of Kangda, about 20 km from Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. Kangra region... It was built by the Rajputs during the heyday of a kingdom. However, in 1615, Emperor Akbar failed to capture it. Historians say that the Rajputs were saved from the attack of Akbar's army by the invaders of the fort. Many kings and Englishmen, including the Rajputs, lived in the fort and ruled the kingdom.
Agra Fort
Agra is reminiscent of the Taj Mahal. But, there is another wonderful visitor area right there. The same Agra Fort. The fort was inhabited during the reign of four generations of Mughal emperors as the capital of Agra. However, several studies suggest that it was built by the Lodi emperors earlier and modernized by the Mughals. The fort is the first Indian building to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List (1983).
Jhansi Fort
Heroine... Everyone reads about Jhansi Rani Lakshmibai in a textbook as a child. She ruled the Jhansi region of Uttar Pradesh from Jhansi Fort. Historians say that the fort was built in the year 1613 by Veersingh Dev, a Rajput of Bundela. Bundelkhand, the fort is built in the Marathi style. At the entrance of the fort are the Shiva Temple and the Ganapati Temple.
Jaigad Fort
The fort was built by Raja Jai Singh II in 1726 to protect the Amer Fort in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Hence the name Jaigadh Fort after him. Due to its proximity to Delhi, the fort was converted into an armory by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The present museum houses a portrait of the kings of Jaipur, details of the fort structure and objects. From this fort, the beauty of the Amer Fort and the Aravalli Mountains enchant the tourists.
Nimrana Fort
Nimrana Fort, a resort on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway, was built in 1464 by Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan III of Rajput. Built over an area of 25 acres on a high hill, the fort attracts a large number of young tourists. The fort glows beautifully in the lights of the lamps at night. It is one of the oldest heritage resorts in the country. The fort has two swimming pools and a hanging garden.
