Location wise it is located on Tamilnadu state Highway 116 on Thiruvannamalai kanchipuram road. While coming from Kanchipuram it is 5 km before Vandavasi. One can See Temple vimana Gopuram on your right around 8 km before Vandavasi. There are no clear sign boards on Road, so once you see Gopuram from road keenly obserb and take right from Highway towards village. It is @ 1 km inside which is single road after crossing Highway.
The temple was build by the disciple of his holiness Gnanananda Swamigal, His Holiness Harida Giri swamygal. It is being administrated by his holiness Namanadagiri Swamigal Presently.
Primary Temple modeled upon the Puri Jagannath Temple and outside structure Reflects Pandava Architecture.This temple stands with a 120 feet toll tower and Gold Kalasa of 9.5 feet with sudarshana chakra above.Passing the balipeeta, There is Mahamandap, where one can see swamy different alankar photo gallery.
Daily there is a different alankaram to god. That is one more special and unique thing of this temple. Temple is open from Morning 06:00 to 12:00 and evening 04:00 to 08:00. During alankara they ask you to sit and will tell history of the temple and then Bajan will starts. Gents are allowed with bare top. Shirt and baniyan has to remove before entering into main temple.

Thavalagireeswarar Venkundram Hill Temple
Thavalagireeswarar Venkundram is a hill temple that is quite challenging to climb. This Thavalagireeswarar temple was located at the top of a 1500 feet high hill called Thavalagiri or Vengundram.
Experts believe the temple was built during the Pallavas. There is an 8th-century inscription recorded to the third regnal year of Nandivarma Pallava in a rock near the temple, and it speaks about the Grama Sabha of Vengundram Village. And also, there is another inscription dated to the Vijayanagara period here. This inscription contains a Telugu inscription on one side and a Sanskrit inscription on the other side. It registers the donations and restorations made to the temple.
Sage Vyasa installed Linga on top of the white mountain (Vengundram), the Linga was called Venguneswarar / Thavalagireeswarar. Lord Shiva gave Jyoti Darshan to Lord Murugan and became a Lingam in the name of Arunachaleswarar.
Traces of ancient walls says this hill might have housed a fort in ancient times. There is a story that the mountain had a secret underground tunnel connecting the hill with Gingee fort and Vandavasi fort. The hill is said to have many medicinal plants, and the water springs are therapeutic.
Karthigai Deepam is a famous festival celebrated here.

Thennangur, is a town panchayat located in the Vandavasi Taluk of Tiruvannamalai district in Tamil Nadu, India. The town also known as Dakshina Halasyam and is the site of the 500 year old, uniquely designed Sri Panduranga Hindu temple
According to the Hindu puranas, this town is the birthplace of the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi. Thennangur was given a rebirth when Sri Haridoss Giri Swamigal, the chief disciple of Sri Gnananandha Giri Swamigal chose the town for the location of a new centre to study Kirtan and Nama sankeerthanam.
Thennangur Panduranga Temple is dedicated to Panduranga and his consort Rukmayee. It attracts tourists from all over the world for its religious importance, its unique architecture and the divine idols of Lord Panduranga and Rukmayee
The idols are grand and elegantly dressed with great enthusiasm and spirit in colourful clothes and beautiful jewellery. The sight of the beautifully decorated idols is a treat to the eyes. Many get mesmerised by the dazzling beauty of the idols and witness, not just the blessings of the Almighty, but also the magical vibe in the temple atmosphere
The temple gopuram is a good illustration of architecture predominantly used during the reign of the Pallava Kings while the inside of it is decorated with beautiful paintings and fibre optics. The sanctum sanctorum is designed similar to the Jagannath Temple in Puri and consists of an idol of the deity, Panduranga, which is about 12 foot tall while the idol of his consort, Rukmayee, is about 8.5 feet tall. There is also an idol of Varadaraja with his companions and a rare idol of Achyutaraja Perumal. The structure is made of Salagrama stone and has a height of about 120 feet and has a 9.5 foot tall Gold Kalasa with a Sudarshan Chakra placed on top of the shrine. The Thennangur Panduranga Temple also has a Maha-Mandap which is a 16 pillared mandap structure which is often used for wedding rituals and a Brindavan dedicated to Gnanananda Swamigal.

In a beautiful village called Nedungunam, earlier called Nedunkundram, this Vijayanagara period Temple, Yoga Ramar Temple (AKA) Ramachandra Perumal Temple, was constructed.
Temple Architecture:
The east-facing Yoga Ramar Temple has an enchanting 6-tier Rajagopuram structure and another 5-tier Rajagopuram called Kili Gopuram, named in honoured of Suka Brahma Maharishi. The Sanctum sanctorum consists of sanctum, Antarala, Arthamandpa and Muka mandapa.
History:
Scholars believe the temple has existed since the 7th Century and was built during the Pallava period. Later the temple might be reconstructed during the Vijayanagara period. The inscriptions are available from the 16th century Vijayanagara period.
