They want to know whether they can withstand a rough Drake that gives them what is known as the Drake Shake.
Well, we had an incredibly turbulent crossing during our cruise to Antarctica with Ponant. This video shows some raw footage we captured during the two rough days on the Drake.

8K BRIBIE ISLAND - Australia's Beautiful Hidden Treasure
Another video in my 8K highlights collection.
A stunning morning twilight & sunrise was captured at Woorim Beach, Bribie Island, Queensland, Australia.
The jetskis & yachts were filmed later on the other side of Bribie Island, near the township of Bongaree, at the entrance to the Pumicestone Passage.
This is a 4K video that has been upscaled using Topaz Video AI, and can be viewed in any resolution up to 8K UHD.

Bribie Island is only an hour's drive north of the city of Brisbane.
It is the smallest and most northerly of three major sand islands forming the coastline sheltering the northern part of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia.
The other islands are Moreton Island and North Stradbroke Island.
Bribie Island is 34 kilometres (21 miles) long, and 8 kilometres (5 miles) at its widest.
Bribie Island hugs the coastline and tapers to a long spit at its most northern point near Caloundra, and is separated from the mainland by Pumicestone Passage. The ocean side of the island is somewhat sheltered from prevailing winds by Moreton Island and associated sand banks and has only a small surf break. The lee side is calm, with white sandy beaches in the south.
Most of the island is uninhabited national park (55.8 square kilometres or 21.5 square miles) and forestry plantations. The southern end of the island has been intensively urbanised as part of the Moreton Bay Region, the main suburbs being Bongaree, Woorim, Bellara and Banksia Beach.
A bridge from Sandstone Point on the mainland to Bongaree on Bribie Island was completed in 1963.
Pumicestone Passage is steeped in history, rich in wildlife and natural beauty, and one of the world's most ecologically important waterways.
It is the body of water which separates Bribie Island from mainland Queensland.
Pumicestone Passage stretches for 35 kilometres, from Caloundra in the north to Deception Bay in the south. A marine park with the oldest registered fish habitat in Queensland, it is a narrow, shallow estuary, encompassing a meandering system of channels, sand banks and islands.
The Passage is also recognised as one of the most important bird habitats on the east coast of Australia, and is protected by its inclusion on three international environmental treaties.

North Lakes is an outer suburb north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Its local government area is the Moreton Bay Region. North Lakes is located approximately 26 km north of the Brisbane central business district. North Lakes has officially been named a suburb, gazetted by the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Water.
It's Baths Time, The Deception Bay Sea Baths (2018)
The Deception Bay Sea Baths 2018 are important in demonstrating the evolution of Queensland's history insofar that they provide physical evidence of the use of the seaside in Queensland for recreational and therapeutic purposes in the late 19th century. Oral and written accounts by the Bancroft family and the local community indicate that the baths were made and used by the Bancroft family in the 1880s and 1890s for recreational bathing and to relieve a chronic ailment suffered by Anne, the wife of Joseph Bancroft.
The baths are uncommon surviving examples of 19th century sea baths. They are likely to be the only extant examples of their type in Queensland. Excavated from the sandstone in the inter-tidal zone of the Deception Bay foreshore, they were filled by the incoming tide. The Boardwalk Bath was drained via a pipe built into the bottom of the bath.
Situated among the mangroves on the Deception Bay foreshore, are two sea baths. They were built by the Bancroft family in the late 19th Century. Carved from sandstone in the intertidal zones they were naturally filled and drained by the tides. The smaller one (3m long and 1.8 m wide) was used by Ann Bancroft to relieve the chronic ailments she suffered. The larger bath, which is 4.5m long and 2.7m wide, is known as the fisheries bath, and was used by the family for recreational purposes. Sea bathing was promoted for its health advantages during this era and new fields of research and experimentation emerged around the therapeutic benefits of the seaside. These pools are the only known surviving 19th century baths in Queensland. Joseph Bancroft and his son Thomas made significant contributions to medical research, particularly parasitology. Joseph discovered the Wucheria Bancrofti parasitic worm which causes elephantiasis and Thomas discovered that the parasite was transmitted by the Aedes Aegypi mosquito. Much of their research was carried out at their Deception Bay property.

MORETON BAY DRIVE...in our new car, Brisbane, Queensland.
Today we follow the brown and white dugong signs along the Southern Moreton Bay Tourist Drive. The total route covers 78 kilometres of the region's picturesque places and we explore some of them at our own pace.
We visit the bayside peninsulas of Victoria Point, and Cleveland and the bayside villages of Manly, Lota and Wynnum. This coastal trip was made extra special because it's our first proper drive in our new Tesla Model 3. The coastal villages of Southern Moreton Bay are a great place to dine and unwind – especially if you’re like us and you like fish n chips!
