Dazhou is a prefecture-level city in the northeast corner of Sichuan province, China, bordering Shaanxi to the north and Chongqing to the east and south. Sichuan is a landlocked province in Southwest China occupying most of the Sichuan Basin and the easternmost part of the Tibetan Plateau between the Jinsha River on the west, the Daba Mountains in the north, and the Yungui Plateau to the south. Sichuan's capital city is Chengdu.

On my first day in Dazhou, a city in eastern Sichuan, I set out from the hotel after dinner to explore this unfamiliar city on foot. The streets were lined with people coming out to exercise after dinner, they were relaxed and there were also many people rushing about who were working. I came to a riverside park where there were two bridges and they were beautifully lit and I enjoyed the night walk.
Dazhou City, Sichuan Province is a natural gas energy and chemical base in western China, an important transportation hub, cultural and commercial center, and a central city in an ecologically livable region. As of 2019, the city has 2 districts, 4 counties and 1 county-level city with an area of 16,600 square kilometers.

都说四川大竹县的面条有名，吃过大竹的面就不再想别的面了。二两韭叶宽的干面煮沸，各种调味料打底，浓重的辣椒和猪油，再浇上深色的肉块杂酱，一搅拌浓香四溢，早上来一碗瞬间就清醒了。街头的小吃凉虾，放了熬制的红糖浆还有大柳醪糟，惹得老人小孩赶过来解馋。袖珍的小炉子烤制的扁扁肉更是本地人小时候的回忆。在哈儿司令的老家清河古镇，到处都是晾晒的苎麻，半洋半中的骑楼老街下面还有好吃的羊肉。
It is said that Dazhu County, Sichuan is famous for its noodles. Once you have eaten Dazhu noodles, you will no longer think about other noodles. Two tales of dry noodles as wide as leek leaves are boiled, with a base of various seasonings, thick chili and lard, and then poured with dark meat sauce. Once stirred, the aroma is overflowing. A bowl of it in the morning will instantly wake you up. The street snack cold shrimp is filled with boiled brown syrup and Da Liu fermented glutinous rice, which makes the elderly and children rush over to satisfy their cravings. The flat pork roasted in a small pocket-sized stove is a memory of the locals' childhood. In Qinghe Ancient Town, the hometown of Commander Haer, there are dried ramie everywhere, and delicious mutton can be found under the half-Western and half-Chinese arcade old street.

Wanyuan City, under the administration of Sichuan Province, is under the escrow of Dazhou City. North and Shaanxi Province, Zhenba County, Ziyang County, east and Chongqing City, Chengkou County border. The jurisdiction is 76.7 km long from east to west and 77.25 km wide from north to south, with a total area of 4,065 square kilometers. Located in the northeastern part of Sichuan Province, the heart of Daba Mountain, the combination of Sichuan, Shaanxi and Chongqing, and the intersection of seven counties and cities, Wanyuan City is the dividing line between the north and south climates of China and the watershed of Jialing River and Han River, named after its location at the head of Wanhachi and the water sources.
In July 1993, Wanyuan was abolished as a county and established as a city. It has obvious location advantages and is the main channel for land transportation out of Sichuan Province, known as the lock and key of Qin River, with the Xiang-Chongqing Railway, Baumao Expressway, National Highway 210 and 347 lines and other traffic arteries crossing. It is one of the three major selenium-rich zones in China and the only natural selenium-rich area in Sichuan Province. The selenium-rich agricultural products are well known in Qinba, and there are 1206 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines, such as calyx shell, tangerine and asparagus.
In March 2019, it was listed in the list of the first batch of counties in the area of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization area. In February 2020, the Sichuan Provincial People's Government agreed to withdraw Wanyuan from the sequence of poverty-stricken counties.

The Tibetan Highlands in the western part of China houses many of the world’s highest elevated regions. The extreme landscape resulted in engineering masterpieces such as the world’s highest airport located at Daocheng Yading, a county situated along the western border of the Sichuan Province.
Daocheng Airport commenced operation in 2016 at an elevation of 4411m, 14110ft. The airport operates scheduled passenger services primarily to cities within Sichuan province but also occasional flights to further inland cities. Due to its high altitude nature, many aircraft, including Airbus A220, J-20 fighter jets..etc have also visited the field to perform flight tests. All commercial aircrafts arriving in Daocheng departs immediately afterward since the airport cannot operate in the dark.
I flew a same-day return onboard the same China Southern A319 from Chongqing to witness this world record in September.
