Friends, Datia city located in the northern region of Madhya Pradesh state is such an ancient city which is mentioned in Mahabharata, which comes under Gwalior division. The city was known as Dilip Nagar during the Mahabharata period, and was founded by Maharaj Bir Singh Deo in 1626. The city of Datia is known for its traditional style temples, havelis and palaces, as well as the one built by Emperor Ashoka, the Gujara inscription was received from this city, and the first municipality of Madhya Pradesh is also in this district, Sun. It was formed in 1907. Friends, let us tell you that the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign in the state of Madhya Pradesh was also started from this Datia district on 15 October 2015.

This video is about Day 9 of our Madhya Pradesh Tour, We started our journey of MP from Gwalior, there after we went to Jhansi and Orchha. After exploring Orchha we visited Panna and then Khajuraho.

In this episode you will see our journey form Kutni ( near Khajuraho to Datia. Following are the activities we did during this day journey.
This Video was shot on 4th Nov 2022,
Bhimkund - This is a geographical miracle located at 105 km distance from Khajuraho. Till this day no one has been able to judge the depth of Bhimkund, this is a mystery which is unsolved even now.
Bhimkund - It is a natural water source, which is considered to be holy. It has connections with Mahabharat times. It is also known as neelkund, located 80 km from Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh.
We were interested to visit Shri Jatashankar Dham which is around 30 km from bhimkund, but due to paucity of time, we could not visit.
We had breakfast at a local dhaba near bhimkund, Aloo Paratha - Rs 20.
Maharaja Chhatrasal Museum - which is around 85 km from Bhimkund located in Dhubela, Entry ticket - Rs 20 for Indian visitors. Museums houses Antiques, artifacts, Paintings and old sculptures
Shri Pitambara peeth Datia - 75 km from Gwalior, this temple is dedicated to Goddesses Dhumavati & Baglamukhi.

Ep-10 Khajuraho Sightseeing, Raneh falls, Matangeshwar Mahadev temple - 18 feet height Shivling
This video is about Day 8 of our MP tour. In the previous episode ( EP 9 - Khajuraho) you saw the western Group of temples and in this video we explored sightseeing in Khajuraho and ended our day by enjoying local food at a homestay.
This Video was shot on 3rd Nov 2022, Below are the activities we did on this day.
Video starts with lunch at Badri Seth Marwari Bhoj, this is one of the good restaurants of Khajuraho, There are limited restaurants in Khajuraho which serve good food.
Special Thali - Rs 320
Marwari Thali - Rs 300
Shivsagar Lake Khajuraho - This lake is situated in the center of the city. One can also watch a beautiful sunset beside the lake.
Raneh waterfalls - It is a natural waterfall on the Ken River, located in Khajuraho in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
The larger and smaller falls run all through the year. Best time to watch falls is during the monsoon season.
Nature Trail is about 1 km walking distance from Raneh Waterfalls.
Gharial Point - It is about 5 km away from Nature Trails and 6 km away from Raneh Waterfalls. This route can be covered by vehicle as it's a wildlife area so it is prohibited to travel without vehicle.
Matangeshwar Temple - It is a Shiva temple in the Khajuraho town of Madhya Pradesh ( Located near Western Group of temples ).
The height of Shivling is about 18 feets, 9 feet above the ground and 9 feet below the ground level.
After this we went to Mini Homestay, Khajuraho and had dinner there.
Tariff: Rs 600 for double occupancy including breakfast.

जिसका प्राचीन दांतवक्र था, जो कि प्राचीन समय में दैत्यों के शासन में था । दतिया और ओरछा के महल बुनदेल राजपूतों ने अपने शासनकाल के अंत में बुंदेलखंड क्षेत्र में 16 वीं और 17 वीं शताब्दी के आसपास बनवाए थे जो कि वास्तुकला की बुंदेलखंड शैली का सबसे अच्छा उदाहरण है।
1.बीर सिंह पैलेस (दतिया का किला)
2.छत्रिया(जो कि यहां के राजा महाराजाओं की कब्रगाह है)
3.तालाबों की नगरी (दतिया में बहुत से तालाब है जिसके कारण इसे तबों की नगरी कहते है)

This Palace of Datia is among the most famous historical monuments of Madhya Pradesh. This Palace amazes tourists with its grandeur. Strangely, it has never been a residence to any ruler. Even Jahangir never came here, although the Palace was constructed for his stay. Datia Palace is a 7-storied building with two floors underground. Datia Palace was built using stones and bricks only and without wood or iron.

मध्यप्रदेश के प्रसिद्ध ऐतिहासिक स्मारकों में दतिया का यह महल भी शामिल है। यह महल अपनी भव्यता से पर्यटकों को अचंभित कर देता है। खास बात ये है कि इस महल में कभी कोई राजा नहीं रहा। यहां तक कि जिनके लिए यह महल बनवाया गया, वो बादशाह जहांगीर भी कभी इस महल में नहीं आ सके। दतिया महल एक सात मंजिला इमारत है, जिसके दो मंजिल जमीन के नीचे यानी अंडरग्राउंड हैं। इस महल के निर्माण में किसी भी प्रकार की लकड़ी और लोहे का उपयोग नहीं किया गया है, सिर्फ पत्थर और ईंटों से इस पूरे महल को बनाया गया है।

मध्यप्रदेश के दतिया जिले में धूमावती माता का यह अपनी तरह का ही अनोखा मन्दिर है। यहां सबसे विशेष बात ये है किमां धूमावती को नमकीन पकवान, जैसे- मंगोडे, पकौड़ी, कचौड़ी व समोसे आदि का भोग लगाया जाता है। जिनकी दुकानें मंदिर के आसपास ही हैं और लोग प्रसाद के लिए इन चीजों को खरीददते हैं। बाद में भक्तों को इन्ही का प्रसाद बांटा जाता है। सीतापुर यूपी व नेपाल में भी मां धूमावती के दर्शन होते हैं।
माना जाता है कि पीताम्बरा पीठ की स्थापना एक संत, जिन्हें स्वामीजी महाराज कहा जाता था, ने की थी। स्थानीय किंवदंती के अनुसार पीठ के परिसर में माँ धूमावती की स्थापना न करने के लिए अनेक विद्वानों ने स्वामीजी महाराज से आग्रह किया था। तब स्वामी जी ने कहा कि- मां का भयंकर रूप तो दुष्टों के लिए है, भक्तों के प्रति ये अति दयालु हैं।
10 महाविधाओं में उग्र मां धूमावती का स्वरूप विधवा का है और कौआ उनका वाहन है। माता श्वेत मलिन वस्त्र धारण करती हैं और उनके केश खुले हुए हैं। शनिवार को काले कपड़े में काले तिल माता को भेंट किये जाते हैं। धूमावती साधना तांत्रिक बाधाओं की काट मानी जाती है।
