Transferred to the Moscow Patriarchate in 1983 to create the spiritual and administrative center of the Russian Orthodox Church. 08:06 ➡️ Bol'shaya Tul'skaya Ulitsa (Street)
08:23 ➡️ Bol'shaya Tul'skaya Ulitsa (Street), bld.2 - House Titanic (House of Atomists) on Tulskaya

???? Reclining skyscraper (House of Titanic or House of Atomists) on Tulskaya This fourteen-storey nine-entrance panel residential building of an individual project is popularly known as the “Titanic”, “ship”, “house of the nuclear scientist”, “recumbent skyscraper”, “Big House” and “Long House” ...
The construction of the house began in the distant 1970s and is a kind of late improvisation on the theme of the commune house. Considering that the rest of the buildings were low-rise, and the house itself was huge and almost white, then against the background of the blue sky it seemed like a cruise liner floating on the water surface of the sea. This explains names such as Ship House and Titanic.
The house was completed in 1986. The house is 400 meters long, 15 meters wide and 50 meters high. 14 floors, two technical floors without windows. It also has two-level apartments (12th and 14th floors), and all floors except the second and thirteenth are residential.

After reconstruction in the 2010s, the market was transformed into a shopping and entertainment complex with shopping malls, shops, cafes, restaurants and venues for cultural events.

11:17 ➡️ Ulitsa Serpukhovskiy Val (Street)
16:25 ➡️ Church of the Tikhvin Mother of God

Moskva Vacation Travel Video Guide

Travel video about destination Moskva in Russia.
Moscow is the capital of Russia and the largest city in Europe. Both Tsar rule and soviet communism gave the city its present appearance. It has witnessed much change and has become a prosperous city and one of contrast and the superlative, of millionaires and also the very poor. Vasiliya Blazhennovo Khram, Basilius Cathedral, is one of the main landmarks of the Russian metropolis and was built at the command of Moscow sovereign, Ivan The Fourth, also known as Ivan The Terrible, Russia’s first Tsar. The cathedral is representative of Moscow’s architecture with red brick monuments and an accumulation of onion-shaped towers. The Kremlin extends beyond a red wall and various towers that date back to the fifteenth century. Since time immemorial it has been the seat of both tsars and bishops and in front of its walls is Red Square that was once used as a marketplace and also a place of execution. Here the death penalty was declared and immediately carried out. Arbatskaya is a city district west of the Kremlin. In the fifteenth century, the craftsmen and servants of the Tsar lived there and then followed artists, intellectuals and aristocrats. In 1935 the Metro was inaugurated and had thirteen stations. Today there are more than a hundred located along two hundred and sixty kilometres of rail, used by millions each and every day. The Moscow Underground is fast, cheap and quite splendid. Its stations are veritable works of art! When the Tsar’s empire vanished, the realm of the Communist rulers was torn apart. But the mega metropolis of Moscow managed to survive. A restless and powerful city of fantastic culture and truly dramatic history.

The Golden ring of Russia : Pereslavl-Zalessky and Plescheevo lake

Known as Pereyaslavl until the 15th century, it was founded in 1152 by Prince Yury Dolgoruky as a projected capital of Zalesye.[citation needed] In 1175–1302, the town was the seat of the Principality of Northern Pereyaslavl (not to be confused with the Principality of Pereyaslavl in modern-day Ukraine). In 1302, it became a part of the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Pereslavl-Zalessky was devastated numerous times by the Mongols between the mid-13th century and the early 15th century. In 1611–1612, it suffered from the Polish invasion.

In 1688–1693, Peter the Great built his famous fun flotilla on Lake Pleshcheyevo for his own amusement, including the so-called Peter's little boat, which would be considered the forefather of the Russian fleet. The Botik (small boat) museum chronicles the history of the first Russian fleet and keeps one of the original model boats.

In 1708, the town became a part of Moscow Governorate.[10]

Just before the Moscow Olympics in 1980, the city of Moscow rounded up a large number of people it considered 'undesirable', many thousands, and decreed that they must be moved at least 120km from Moscow in order to improve the city's image. Pereslavl is approx 130km from Moscow and as such the population of the town soared prior to the Olympics

Inside the Oldest Moscow Monastery with Different Russia 2019

Danilov Monastery (also Svyato-Danilov Monastery or Holy Danilov Monastery; Данилов монастырь, Свято-Данилов монастырь in Russian) is a walled monastery on the right bank of the Moskva River in Moscow.[1] Since 1983, it has functioned as the headquarters of the Russian Orthodox church and the official residence of the Patriarch of Moscow and all the Rus'.
Danilov Monastery is claimed to have been founded in the late 13th century by Alexander Nevsky's son Daniel. Shortly before his death in 1303, Daniel is supposed to have taken monastic vows and been buried there. The Russian Orthodox church venerates him as a saint. Daniel's successors had this monastery relocated to the Kremlin. All that remained at the original location was a graveyard.

Visit to Agios Raphael Pachyammos Pomos Beach CYPRUS.

Agios Raphael Greek Orthodox Church. Pachyammos Near Pomos Beach Cyprus. Fabulous Church in a beautiful setting on the coast of cyprus, would make a wonderful setting for a wedding.

The church of Saint Raphael is a magnificent temple built in Byzantine style. Every year the temple receives thousands of visitors from all over Cyprus and abroad.
The temple is a Byzantine-style building, painted with a wood-carved icon screen with icons of Saints. According to the religious tradition, it was built six years after a miracle made by Saint Raphael to a resident of the area of Neophytos Socrates.

The Miracle:
After two consecutive surgeries, Neophytos Socratus suffered from unstable pains. A lady (her name was not known) gave him a book of miracles of St. Raphael. He then read it and became convinced that Saint Raphael would heal him. One evening, despite his terrible pains, he earnestly pleaded with Saint Raphael and managed to sleep for a while. In his sleep he saw a tall doctor who told him: I will do your surgery and you will be well. He began to perform surgery with the help of a nurse short-lived, who was no other than Saint Irene. When the doctor left, the little nurse who was still cleaning the room assured him that he will be good. Socratous woke up and from that moment he was totally healed. In his notebook he noted the date of his treatment, February 10, 1987. To make sure he was well awaited for a while and then wrote a letter to the abbot of the Monastery of Saint Raphael in Mytilene, in which he mentioned the miracle.

From the church's courtyard visitors can admire the magnificent view unfolding in front of their eyes.

Saint Raphael celebrates two days after Holy Easter and is one of the choirs of the most recent Saints who martyred almost immediately after the fall of Constantinople in 1453 AD.

The church is decorated with adornment of the Pachyammos community and is a pan-Cypriot pilgrimage.

Monasteries in Moscow: past and present

A short sketch about visiting three ancient monasteries of Moscow: Novospassky Monastery (0:37), Pokrovsky Monastery (3:48) and Danilov Monastery (6:31). The walls of these monasteries saw a lot: the emergence of an empire, revolution, repression (in many monasteries during the USSR, security forces and prisoners were located), the collapse of the USSR and the period of restoration of lost historical values.
