Location – Khatlon region, Shahrituz district. Sayod village, 6km south of Shahrituz in the direction of Aivaj, on the bank of the Kofarnihon River. The mausoleum is situated at a distance of 6 km to the south from the regional center of Shahrituz, in the mouth of Kofarnikhon River, near the kishlak of Sied

About Mausoleum of Khoja Mashhad
Description -
It is one of the not numerous pre-Mongol madrasahs of XI-XII centuries, which was kept until nowadays. There is premise of the mausoleum, mosques and yard ivans, summer-house, round the right-angled yard, from the north to the south. There are two large cupola buildings united with arch Ivan in the north part of the territory. This construction built with burnt bricks, 25x25x4 cm. is known as the Mausoleum of Khoja Mashhad or Double Mausoleum. Other parts of the madrasah built of adobe bricks were broken and were excavated. The total territory of the madrasah is 68 x 48 m. The south façade of the monument has two round towers in the corner of the cupola building. It was excavated some arch rooms (3,5-4 m.) surrounding the large yard, ivans in the north, east and west sides of the yard. The ivans are 4 m. Wide. Brittleness of the adobe bricks is a cause of the destruction of many monuments in Tajikistan. That is why the kept ones made of burnt bricks are of great value. The mausoleum part of the madrasah consists of two building,10,4 x 10,4 m. They have sphere cupola. The foundations of the cupolas have arch windows fro the south side and round opening in the keystones of the cupolas. The east mausoleum is earlier, IX-X centuries, it's a typical Central Asia central-cupola building of the early middle ages. Its west and east walls have doors. The west mausoleum has some little differences in detail, such as ornament of the walls.
Pamir Highway by bicycle
In 2017 we drove by bicycle through the Pamirs. Started in Sariyasia (Uzbekistan) where we arrived by train around midday and cycled across the border to Tajikistan. We cycled to Dushanbe and found out that the northern route to Kalaikhum was due to a heavy mud flow closed for crossing. We drove instead southwards to Danghara and up to Surobod then along the long border river Panj until we left the border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan to the higher Pamir mountain range. We crossed the high passes Kargush, Naizatash, and Ak-Baital and arrived after two further passes over 4000m asl Kyrgyizstan. Final destination was Osh.

Green Wood House Hotel - Tadschikistan
Tadschikistan Green Wood House Hotel - Das Green Wood House in Tadschikistan ist ein außergewöhnliches, kleines Hotel in den Bergen von Tadschikistan. Es gehört zu einem Fußballtrainingszentrum. The 2.3-kilometer tunnel that will be built under the Shar-Shar pass, some 80 kilometers southeast of Dushanbe, on the highway from the Tajik capital to Kulob via Norak, will link Dushanbe with the country's east. An official opening of the Shar-Shar Tunnel was held on Sunday 30, 2009.
The construction of the Shar-Shar Tunnel, which is 2,224 meters long tunnel, began in October 2006 and China provided US$36 million for this project. The Shar-Shar tunnel planned for making easiness to link between Tajikistan and China because its construction was completed with the financial invest of Chinese government.The tunnel is part of the road that runs from Dushanbe through Vahdat to Khatlon’s Danghara district.
