The architect Barluzzi wanted, almost as a completion of this shrine of the Transfiguration, he wanted to speak to us through images, as he knew how to do. He was an architect, an artist, and therefore he wanted to represent here, in the crypt of the basilica, under the elevated high altar of the Basilica of the Transfiguration, he wanted to show us four more Transfigurations of Jesus. Four more manifestations, four events in the life of Jesus, in which his divine glory appears to us in the poor, humble form of the humanity of Jesus, but which is transparency, in faith for us who believe, is transparency of this divine glory.
