In the country of Tour de France, I travel 50 kms in 3 hours from Grenoble to Crolles, my first ambitious project after the replacement surgery of both the hips, since a year back.

A daily dose of fitness with scenic views of Lakes Vercors, Bois Francais, Chartreuse and Aappma & The ALPS mountains ; the majestic Belledonne mountain range, the dentdecrolles SaintHilaireduTouvet.
At Crolles, the biggest techno park of semiconductor fabrication in France, a lot of employees of companies like ST Micro Electronics, Soitec, Ecrin, New Vision, Britivic, TT, Editec, Quartz travel daily to Crolles by bike if the weather is good and maybe travel back by bus if need be. The companies are happy to compensate from anything between 400-800€ for the bike and the gear, once you sign an agreement to use the bike to come to office for at least 50% of the time, a win-win for both.

Road Trip Nouvelle Aquitaine - From Bordeaux to Biarritz via the French Pyrenees
A road trip is the best way to discover the diversity of the French region Nouvelle Aquitaine! In this video I will take you to Bordeaux, to the French Pyrenees and to Biarritz at the Atlantic Ocean.
I will show you cool and sustainable activities in these three destinations. I have personally made this trip in only a few days, but if you have more time on your hand, definitely stay longer. There is much more to discover!
Here's what you will see:
Let me show you Bordeaux in a tour with an electric Tuk Tuk, a photo walk through the brutalist quarter Meriadeck and a bicycle tour to all of Bordeaux's street art as well as the artist quarter of Darwin.
Not far from Bordeaux, we will explore the wine castle Chateau du Taillan, where we will even be shown their secrets in the basement.
From there, we will drive to Fabrèges where we will take the ski lift up the mountain for some spectacular views. But not enough, the little train called Petit Train will take us even higher up, almost all the way to the Lac d'Artouste.
Let me show you the cozy village of Arudy before we go on a nerve-wrecking ziplining adventure in Laruns!
Last but definitely not least, we will explore the hip beach town of Biarritz. Follow me while I discover the best photo spots, enjoy some oysters in the old harbour and enjoy the sunset in this beautiful town.

De Grenoble 16 km (15mn par l'autoroute), sortir à Crolles avant le péage.
Ensuite plusieurs variantes :
1 - l'énergétique : direction le funiculaire de Crolles-Montfort et via ferrata (indiqués par panneau). Le départ du sentier d'approche du Pal de Fer est à gauche du funiculaire, 400m de dénivelée par un bon raidillon, 1h15 mais ne vous pressez pas de trop car certains arrivent éreintés au départ de la via,
2 - l'astucieuse : monter en voiture à St Hilaire du Touvet qui est l'arrivée de la via, en redescendre les 300m de dénivelée d'un sentier qui longe le funiculaire et la via et se trouver au départ de la via,
3 - la relax : prendre le funiculaire avec la dépose intermédiaire à 500m, rejoindre le départ avec un dénivelé de 160m en 20mn.

The goal of this challenge was to bring together rope access workers from around the world for a festival and the opportunity to share best practices and knowledge with peers.
The Petzl RopeTrip is the professional equivalent of the Petzl RocTrips. This year Petzl received assistance from EPIsûr for all preparation, safety and refereeing for the technical tasks. FRENCH CITY IN THE ALPS | GRENOBLE VLOG | Two excellent hikes close by!
This French city in the Alps doesn't seem like a real place. This is our Grenoble vlog. We start this vlog by gently hiking up the closest ski hill to Grenoble, Chamrousse Ski Resort. Talk about a scenic hike in the Alps, and only 40 minutes by car from the city! From the very top we're able to see the entire city of Grenoble sitting in the valley, and make our way down the mountain for golden hour. The next day, we walk through this urban city into the older parts of town. Colourful buildings line the Isere river, surrounded by mountains, as the Grenoble cable cars goes up and down. We hike up to the Fort de la Bastille for an ever more phenominal view of Grenoble then head in for pain au chocolat, croissants, and lunch. Lastly we stroll through the vielle ville (old town) and finish the day during happy hour. This place has it all it seems.

Découvrez le parcours détaillé de la randonnée de la Dent de Crolles. Culminant à 2062 mètres d'altitude, la dent de Crolles et le 2ème sommet du massif de la Chartreuse après Chamechaude. Il s’agit de l’une des randonnées les plus populaires de la région Grenobloise. l’itinéraire que je vous propose passe par le pas de l’oeille, et le trou du Glaz. Outre les magnifiques vues, ce parcours réserve pas mal de surprise, comme le passage dans d’étroites failles, la découverte de la grotte, de nombreux pas câblés et vous aurez même peut-être la chance de croiser les nombreux chamois qui occupent le plateau sommital.
Attention les nombreux passages câblés nécessitent de la vigilance surtout lors des descentes.
(Oups: A 4:22 il faut lire Pas de l’œille au lieu pas de l’œil…les deux non rien à voir …désolé )

It is also conveniently located for those who wish to explore Grenoble city centre. Our stay is inclusive of simple continental breakfast and would definitely recommend this hotel to those visiting Grenoble.

Grenoble is a very bikeable city due to its good bike lane infrastructure and flat roads.
A good place to rent your bike is Metro Velo! (go on their site and book in advance, its faster that way)
Although its a clunky heavy city bike, its good for small communities, maybe not for biking outside Grenoble where it is mountainous and steep.
about the day:
Charlotte and I decided to hike our bikes and, occasionally, bike up Chene du Venon's oak tree guarded by two donkeys. we managed to get out bike up, enjoy a speedy 25 min bike ride to lidl (our favourite grocery store due to its affordable prices), and make it just in time for our french class in st. martin deheres at 6:30pm.

It's illegal for supermarkets in France to chuck food out, so... there's bargains galore to be had. These items are all discounted to 20 to 50 cents each.

Typically this Race is all over the France & this tour consist of 21 day-long segments (stages) over a 23-day period and cover around 3,500 kilometres (2,200 mi). The race alternates between clockwise and counterclockwise circuits of France.
Tour de France is split into 21 stages: Nine flat stages, three hilly stages, seven mountain stages (including five summit finishes), two individual time trials and two rest days.
One stage is performed every day, covers roughly 225 kilometers, and takes about five and a half hours to complete. Each stage has a winner, and the rider that completes the most stages in the shortest amount of time goes onto win the overall title.
