Our journey begins in the City of Light, Paris. The Eiffel Tower, one of the most iconic landmarks in the world, is our first stop. We ascend to the top of this towering structure to take in the stunning views of the city below. From here, we head to the Champs-Élysées, one of the most famous streets in the world, where we take a leisurely stroll and marvel at the beautiful architecture and high-end shops. ????
Next, we visit the Louvre Museum, one of the largest and most famous museums in the world. With over 35,000 works of art, including the Mona Lisa, the Louvre is a must-visit destination for any art lover. We also take a stroll through the Jardin des Tuileries, a beautiful park located right next to the museum. ????
Our next stop is the beautiful region of Provence, located in the south of France. Here, we visit the charming village of Gordes, known for its stunning views of the surrounding countryside. We also visit the lavender fields of Valensole, which are in full bloom during the summer months and are a sight to behold. ????
From Provence, we head to the French Riviera, where we visit the beautiful city of Nice. We stroll along the Promenade des Anglais, a beautiful seaside promenade lined with palm trees and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. The Château de Chambord at Chambord, Loir-et-Cher, France, is one of the most recognisable châteaux in the world because of its very distinctive French Renaissance architecture which blends traditional French medieval forms with classical Renaissance structures.
The building, which was never completed, was constructed by King Francis I of France.
Chambord is the largest château in the Loire Valley; it was built to serve as a hunting lodge for Francis I, who maintained his royal residences at the châteaux of Blois and Amboise.
The original design of the Château de Chambord is attributed, though with some doubt, to Domenico da Cortona; Leonardo da Vinci may also have been involved.
Chambord was altered considerably during the twenty-eight years of its construction (1519–1547), during which it was overseen on-site by Pierre Nepveu.
With the château nearing completion, Francis showed off his enormous symbol of wealth and power by hosting his old archrival, Emperor Charles V, at Chambord.
Châteaux in the 16th-century departed from castle architecture; while they were off-shoots of castles, with features commonly associated with them, they did not have serious defences.
Extensive gardens and water features, such as a moat, were common amongst châteaux from this period.
Chambord is no exception to this pattern.
The layout is reminiscent of a typical castle with a keep, corner towers, and defended by a moat.
Built in Renaissance style, the internal layout is an early example of the French and Italian style of grouping rooms into self-contained suites, a departure from the medieval style of corridor rooms.
The massive château is composed of a central keep with four immense bastion towers at the corners.
The keep also forms part of the front wall of a larger compound with two more large towers.
Bases for a possible further two towers are found at the rear, but these were never developed, and remain the same height as the wall.
The château features 440 rooms, 282 fireplaces, and 84 staircases.
Four rectangular vaulted hallways on each floor form a cross-shape.
In 1792, in the wake of the French Revolution, some of the furnishings were sold and timber removed.
For a time the building was left abandoned, though in the 19th century some attempts were made at restoration.
During the Second World War, art works from the collections of the Louvre and the Château de Compiègne were moved to the Château de Chambord.
The château is now open to the public, receiving 700,000 visitors in 2007.

France: The Oise River from Compiegne to its confluence with the Seine River
The Oise River is a right tributary of the Seine River. Its length is 302 km in Belgium and France. Its source is in the Belgian province Hainaut, south of the town Chimay. It crosses the border with France after approx. 20 km. It flows into the Seine in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, near Paris. Its main tributary is the river Aisne.
This video shows the river Oise River between the confluence Oise/Aisne and its confluence with the River Seine.

We have so far been able to visit 33 cities in France and this is the first time we have had a negative experience. This is not to say we hate this city, no. It’s just we would like to show you our experience here.
Prior to arriving, we had consulted the official photography and filming page on the chateau’s website ( and we did agree with the security to remove the mini flexible hand tripod when they asked. The microphone is not included in this page, and when we asked if we could speak to someone aside from security, they literally did not allow us to speak to anyone else.
We don’t expect to be treated like kings or celebrities. So we felt the best would be to leave as the whole incident made us look ridiculous in front of other very few visitors as well as made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Maybe we will try going there again sometime in the future, but it won’t be anytime soon. Next episode will be much more positive, we promise!

Compiègne [kɔ̃ piɛɲ] is a commune in the Oise department in northern France France. The commune is located northeast of Paris. A royal residence since the Merovingians, it is often nicknamed the Imperial City because of its past closely linked to the Second Empire.
It constitutes by its surface the first commune of the department, and by its demography the second. It is the third largest urban area in the Oise department with just under 100,000 inhabitants.
