Welcome to Chattanooga! Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains on the Tennessee River, it’s no wonder that Chattanooga's official nickname is “The Scenic City”. Along with the incredible views, it’s also the birthplace of numerous notable brands/inventions such as MoonPies, Little Debbie Snack Cakes, Krystal Burger, Bottled Coca-Cola, and Tow Trucks! Pretty impressive! For our time in Chattanooga, we highlighted some of the city’s most notable sites like Rock City, Ruby Falls, The Walnut Street Bridge, and no visit to Chattanooga would be complete without a visit to Clumpies Ice Cream Co.! Safe and Affordable Towns in Tennessee
For the last few years, Tennessee has been experiencing an influx of new residents. Some of that is due to the lack of a state income tax, with many people coming from high-tax states. As a result, some of the more popular cities, like Nashville and Chattanooga have started to get expensive. There are however, some cities, that still have a reasonable cost of living, while also having a low crime rate.
